Jiang Yuelou doesn't visit Chen Yuzhi during his busy hours because he knows he's just going to distract the man but he does come to visit him whenever things slow down
Chen Yuzhi always tries to give him free meals, but Jiang Yuelou won't have it and pays for them every time because he can't have Chen Yuzhi's business suffering because of him
Jiang Yuelou has learned not to sneak up behind Chen Yuzhi when he works early in the morning on making the dough for the noodles because he'll always always end up with a knife pressed up against his throat and Chen Yuzhi always ends up apologizing
Jiang Yuelou saves Keying from a group of gangsters who try to steal from the shop (Chen Yuzhi had stepped away for a moment to get something from the back so he couldn't hear/see the front). One single gunshot to the sky and everyone goes scattering as Jiang Yuelou walks over to the noodle shop and smiles at Keying
Chen Yuzhi and Keying both learn how to throw knives, but Jiang Yuelou tells them, mainly Keying, that it's only for protection. Just because he throws knives to kill people doesn't mean that she should
One day Jiang Yuelou gets cornered by a rival triad and he's badly injured. He's afraid he's not going to be able to see Chen Yuzhi and Keying that day when one of the triad members suddenly just...goes down, making him and everyone turn to see Keying and Chen Yuzhi running towards them, Chen Yuzhi and Keying both throwing knives
More triad members go down, causing the remaining triad members to go after them but thankfully Chen Yuzhi is very good with his knives so he slices and stabs the triad members, watching as they take off running for the hills. Once they were gone, Chen Yuzhi and Keying run over to Jiang Yuelou, both siblings freaking out that he got hurt
Jiang Yuelou just smiles and assures them that it's just a small wound, nothing serious but then Keying sees the blood slipping between his fingers and she starts freaking out, like really freaking out. Chen Yuzhi then wraps an arm around Jiang Yuelou and guides him to his home, which isn't too far
He quickly bandages Jiang Yuelou up and instructs him to rest. Jiang Yuelou just looks at him strangely because aren't you a chef? How do know how to do this?
Chen Yuzhi laughs and explains that he was a doctor for a few years before he decided to take over his parent's business after they passed. He had also been away from Keying for too long so...
Jiang Yuelou understands and thanks him, and Keying, for saving him. He then goes on to praise Keying for her very nice throws and Keying grins happily
Jiang Yuelou stays the night (at Chen Yuzhi's insistence) but then disappears in the morning. It's not like gangs and triads don't know who Chen Yuzhi is, but he also doesn't want Chen Yuzhi to get in trouble if the police come by asking about him
Chen Yuzhi is a little disappointed to find that Jiang Yuelou is gone but when he arrives in his shop that morning, he finds a brand new set of very sharp knives waiting for him, causing Chen Yuzhi to smile
