I went as MJ Venom to EECC last weekend.

To begin with, it's acknowledged that Carnage is Dylan's brother and vice versa. Nothing new, but it's worth pointing out.

Then horrible things happen and we arrive at the most critical and disgusting point of the entire comic.

Carnage abandoned Eddie after joining another villain (Torment). Eddie is left bleeding on the ground. Then Dylan and the MJVenom symbiote arrive, and there's an explosion, and this is how they react...💀

Dylan worries about his father, and MJVenom only cares about Spiderman. 💔🙄

When Dylan finds him, he tells them that Eddie is seriously ill and needs a hospital. Dylan being the only mature character in that bunch of idiots.

BUT LOOK HOW THE SYMBIOTE MJVenom REACTS 💀💀💀💀💀 💀

He tells her to send him in an Uber... A fucking Uber, for crying out loud... I don't know if the stupid writers here were trying to be funny, but they only caused more hatred from the fans towards them and the symbiote.

But this ordeal doesn't end there. Upon arriving at the hospital, Eddie begs for attention, explains himself... and that imbecile MJ meddles in everything that's none of her business, making a stupid comparison between Eddie and her abusive father...

And the MJVenom symbiote leaves with this:

NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN......💀💔

Friends, why didn't they throw acid in my face? That would have been better...

This whole thing is a load of crap, the writers are awful, and they've thrown away years of relationship and mutual understanding. (The only thing I applaud Ewing for is that he made Dylan and Sleeper siblings and children of Eddie and the symbiote) but otherwise, it's complete garbage.

I really want Eddie to find a symbiote that loves him unconditionally...it's not just about saying it, it's about showing it, and I'm a die-hard Symbrock shipper...but this made me hate Symbi. I wish Knull would impale MJVenom with a rusty rod and kick his ass so hard it sends him flying back to Klyntar without his family.

Yes, the hair looks very inorganic and out of place but otherwise I'd say it does a great job at bringing Mary-Jane's personal touch to the form Venom takes. I like the golden symbol and I like the blunt teeth too because since Mary-Jane is typically not as aggressive as other hosts, it makes sense.

(I've seen a lot of people complain about how "ugly" the blunt teeth look which confuses me because these are probably the same people who praise the first appearances of Venom for not looking too "monstrous" but like a suit Eddie is wearing that stretches over the edges of his teeth.)

I do strongly prefer her with a mouth though. The new lack of a mouth reminds me of Silence (whose design creeps me out).

The golden boots could be seen as referencing Mary-Jane's modelling career, so, I'd say that's neat. Plus, they remind me of She-Ra, which I love.

If they could just fix the hair so that it'd look more part of Venom and less just a part of Mary-Jane, I think it'd be perfect. Because the fact that it's literally a different hairstyle than the one Carlos Gomez has been drawing her in lately certainly doesn't help.
