My sleep the night before was ravaged by episode after episode of the moment right before receiving my decision. In the last one, I was sitting in the bleachers of a football stadium amongst the entire applicant pool, and we were all awaiting our decisions.
Then the admission officers came out and all the tubes rolled out onto the field. An avalanche of crazed applicants swarmed the tubes, while I just sat glued to my seat in shock. One by one, applicants would find their tube, raise it in the air with glinting eyes, and sprint out of the stadium. After a short while, the stadium was nearly cleared out, with only a few people left in the seats. Â
And a single tube on the field.
Just like all the previous dreams that night, I never found out.
There are some holes I suppose...I think the few people remaining were actually my friends who didnât even apply to MIT. And also...did the kids who didnât get a tube just run away too? Otherwise that means everyone in the stadium was destined to get in anyway.
My subconscious knew I was going to get in?
Bahh thatâs ridiculous.
