[ftzz... crackle... Waves lap slowly against the shore. The camera is on its side, half-buried in dirt. White hair bobs slowly on the surface of the water, still and silent. The train is just visible past it, sinking under the water as if it were a sea creature, returning to its home. The world is quiet. The ground is still. The camera crackles occasionally. A hand picks it up. Spins it around. Sets it back down. Lacey looks miserable, her real hair - long and violet - hanging over her face in long, tangled strands. A sopping wet dog, fallen into the water without a hand to help her get dry. She almost goes to brush her hair away from her face, but catches that the camera is on and stops. She sighs, spinning it back around so its eye sees nothing but water. "I'm alive. Would say ok, but I'm very much not ok. My arm hurts. My hair feels like straw. I'm glad it was freshwater, or my eyes would be screaming at me right now." She coughs, spitting some water onto the shore. "Whoever commissioned me for this job, you're definitely paying me something. Not money, I have enough of that. Something cool, a gadget or a trinket or something. I have the flash drive safe in an undisclosed location, I have your print filament... here. It's waterproof, it'll be fine. Send the container you wish for me to ship your goods in to the location that will be messaged to you shortly, and we can fulfill this deal. Make sure my payment is in the container, ok? I can very easily sell this to another interested party." Muffled sounds of fabric rustling, and then a sandalwood comb is set down in front of the camera. "Already put another token in the data banks. Can't really put it on a sunk train, so I'll put it here. The photo will go out to the open channels once I have collected the filament and sent it out - they can find the empty train and retrieve it, it's not what I was going after." "This was way harder than smuggling a flash drive out in my tits. Why isn't print filament small enough to be stuffed down a bra? Stupid." "Pay me. Get your items. Let's get this deal finished." The camera lingers on the sinking train and the sandalwood comb for a long moment before the water damage finally kills it. The feed goes dark.]
