Man...I had backed the neopets ttrpg kickstarter and they terminated it. Thats....a lot of money to lose if they don't refund us ;____;
I fucking hate misplacing stuff. I’m not even misplacing kinda important stuff, just tiny things that I only need every once in a while.
Like where’s my green marker?
Where’s my vest?
I haven’t seen my belt in over a month!
Where are my nail clippers?
Where’s my fourth favorite book?!
WHERE ARE ALL MY GOOD COMBS?!?

Lost and Found
So yesterday I endured a “planned power outage” though of course I continued to turn on lights and the microwave and then go “Oh.” I could still access WORD so I decided to bundle up (my house is cold when the heat is ON) and write this blog entry about a recent visit to one of my aunts. Two of my daughters, Abby and Allie, were going with me and as we stood by the elevator to go up to her floor I casually looked down at Allie’s feet. “Are those my socks?” I asked, and as she sheepishly admitted to borrowing-and-forgetting -to return, a rush of memories came back to me. College days, when after visits home my kitchen cabinet would be empty of not-to-be found glasses. My laundry basket was also MIA. Coats and scarves would disappear from a closet and then reappear somewhere else unexpected. As if to counter-balance this my basement was a treasure trove of clothes and other items I had never seen before. Once there was even a body on the sofa; the head was covered so I tiptoed over and pulled back the blanket to see a boy I didn’t recognize. (Turns out the girls wouldn’t let him drive home in the condition he was in.) I replenished the drinking glasses, only to much later discover the originals in various nooks and crannies all over the house so that then there wasn’t enough room in the cabinet for both the new and the old. When I discovered my laundry basket it was full of clothes (including some of mine) in one of the girl’s rooms but it was easier to just buy a new one. But I will admit to benefitting from this chaos. I found and altered some stuff that I found in a heap in the basement: a nice pair of pants, a sundress, and a Quicksilver long-sleeved shirt I wear that belonged to a guy who used to live down the street. Karma.
