Referring to the current situation: What would the DN characters do in the time of quarantine or self isolation?

L is an interesting one for me to think about because heâs already very isolated and I imagine of all of them, he probably has an easier time of it than others do.
Spends his time working on cases in the safety of his HQs, which feels like just another day to him, however there amount of cases available to him has dropped significantly. (Which isnât great since this is also his hobby and what keeps him occupied from the world around him).
Has taken up an interest in tracking crimes that stem from the actions of peopleâs greed or panic during this time that the world is insane.
Is determined to solve famous high profile cases that went unsolved at the time. Â (Some of his favorites are The Whitechapel Murders, Lizzie Borden and the Mystery of Mary Rogers).
Has started reading mystery novels and writing notes on every flaw in the authorâs reasoning and execution of their stories.
Has become very interested in stocks again and predicting trends.
Is worried for Watariâs safety.
Is nervous heâs going to run out of sweets before the outbreak is over even though there is no chance of that happening.
Absolutely refuses to let Watari go out of HQs. They have been living off the emergency reserves in his panic room, which can easily sustain the two of them for over a year.
Near does well in self-isolation.
Much like L, he continues to work on cases from a far, though he has far less demands on his services than before.
Finds he has much more time to think, build his models, and generally just hang out with his toys.
Heâs taken up painting landscapes as a hobby. Heâs actually pretty good at it.
Along the same lines, he is teaching himself how to draw caricatures. Rester was not impressed with the one Near drew of him.
He doesnât feel lonely. He still has his Task Force members and that is more than enough to stave off any want for the rare occasion he wants to hang out with others.
If they are in need of supplies, he sends Rester. Heâs strong and healthy and  Near feels confident that he is best equipped to handle the mobs of crazed people.
Mello is stir crazy 3 days after it starts.
He does a lot of pacing and looking out the window.
He takes a lot of pictures of the empty streets because itâs never been this empty before (and hopes it never is again).
Has started making up recipes based on the food that was available on the shelves and what he has stored in the pantry. Some of them came out pretty good.
Heâs been writing a âpost quarantineâ list of stuff he wants to do when this is all over.
Heâs also been keeping a journal of news articles about the virus. He just may write the next âA Journal of a Plague Yearâ, only his would actually be a firsthand account.
Matt isnât thrilled, but heâs hanging in there.
Has decided to replay The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, but is timing himself. He wants to beat the game and all the side quests in less than 10 hours.
Hs replayed all his video games and is (believe it or not) tired of them.
Decides to research motorcycles and is determined to buy an old Harley and rebuild it.
Misses pizza, but refuses to get take out, just to be safe. Heâs been living on frozen pizzas instead and is thinking he should have bought way more than he did.
Is leading the pack in all MMORPGs heâs playing.
Beyond is losing it after 10 minutes, but after a pretty intense fist through the wall, he settles in to the situation.
Starts researching solved murder cases and figures out how he would have gotten away with it. (Like what L is doing, but in reverse)
When heâs tired, he binge watches old T.V shows, everything from Happy Days to Matlock. He is perfectly content zoning out with a bag of chips and a two liter of coke for hours in front of the television. (I HC he used to watch old t.v shows with his mother when he was young).
Opens the windows at 3 am and sings âHit Me Baby One More Timeâ at the top of his lungs just to piss off his neighbors.
Has watched and looked up every tutorial on how to make jam and has decided that if shit goes way south, heâs going to make his own.
After a week, he refuses to put on pants and hangs out on his fire escape in his boxers, reading popular mechanics and drinking Mai Tais. (The middle aged lady that lives 4 doors down is enjoying the view, though!)
Heâs decided when this is all over, heâs going to Paris, just to eat baguettes and drink French wine.
