Misceverse Starter’s Guide PT. 1!!
A lot of people have asked for like a “how to start” or “basics of misceverse” post. That’s a little more difficult as it’s different for everyone but I am going to try!
Dynamics
Dynamics are the “types” alpha, beta, omega etc etc. There are A LOT of subtypes that I'm not 100% sure about so I won't cover those in this post! Alpha - "The external protectors. Alphas handle exterior elements the pack may face such as (but not limited to) outside threats, physical protection, and pack territory. Alphas used to be the main breadwinners of the pack, but as times have shifted, so has this responsibility, and it is now more equally shared among different dynamics. Stereotyped as aggressive and violent." - @/jar-of-omegaverse
- My alpha has described it as dominant. He says it's very rooted in wanting to care and protect his pack. Typically associated with very dominant personalities or naturally protective types. Beta - "The collaborative protectors. Betas can assist in internal and external problems but also manage relations with other packs, delegating pack responsibilities, and pack resources. Betas have traits of alphas and omegas as well as their own characteristics, and because of this, usually pack responsibilities vary incredibly from beta to beta. Stereotyped as dull and useless." - @/jar-of-omegaverse
- I don't personally know a true beta, my alpha is trans alpha from beta but I'm not sure he can describe it. I see it as being kind of the logical one lmao. They are typically the one that tells their alpha // omega that they're being a little crazy from what I've heard
Omega - "The internal protectors. Omegas take care of the inner problems of the pack such as (but not limited to) emotional/instinctual issues, infighting, reproduction, and monitoring pack health and mating cycles. They also make major decisions in the pups' education. Stereotyped as weak and emotional." - @/jar-of-omegaverse
-This is me! TO ME being an omega is being a caretaker not in the sense of being protective (think being aggressive to intruders) but more taking care of sick pack members or being the "Pack Mom" I've heard a lot of people consider the omega(s) of a pack to be the heart of the pack.
Sub-types are typically a mix between two dynamics or a completely new title. Those require more research so I won't cover them in the starters guide but feel free to send me an ask about it!

"How to find your scent"
This is MY BREAD AND BUTTER ARF ARF!! Okay! So we are gonna talking about how to figure out your scent AND and routines to help you smell like your desired scent ALL DAY LONG!!! How to find your scent;
This one is easy ml. Here are a few things to help (I also do "Scent diagnosis" in my asks so PLZ feel free I LOVE TO DO IT!)
Make a list of scents you are naturally drawn to. For example I am drawn to gourmand (sweet bakery type) scents. Vanilla, Caramel, Strawberry, etc. etc. SO I would list all of those scents in like a google doc, just something you can edit easily :PP
Consider your dynamic and how the scent feels for you. Does smelling like vanilla and honey make you feel like an alpha? OKAY!! perfect!! The list above is NOT a rule or anything! If smelling like blood makes you feel happy with your omega identity then AMAZING!! There is no strict rules!! Cross off anything in your list that doesn't make you feel like your dynamic or makes you feel dysphoric.
Look over the list one more time and look for the scents you REALLY PREFER For me it was Vanilla, Caramel, and Strawberries. Though my scent changes with the season those are my base scents that NEVER CHANGE!! Again I can help in my asks!
Presenting your scent;
OKAY!!! THIS IS MY SHIT RAGGHH!!
you will need these "ingredients"
Antibacterial bar soap (can be scented but unscented is fine :33)
Scented soap in your scent (Mine is dove Vanilla & shea butter :PP)
Exfoliation scrub in your scent (I use a homemade sugar scrub in vanilla scent so... :PP I can drop the recipe later)
If you shave, a scented shave cream in your scent is AWESOME but not 100% needed lols (Mine is EOS Vanilla, love it TO DEATH!!)
Deodorant in your scent or unscented. (Mine is dove Vanilla & Cocoa Butter deodorant)
A lotion in your scent (Mine is EOS Vanilla Cashmere or, totally dependent on mood // season, Sol de Janeiro 71 body lotion)
Body Oil, I recommend unscented baby oil but if you have a preference go for it!! (I use a mix of a vanilla body oil from an etsy shop, unscented baby oil, or Palmer's cocoa butter body oil. Kinda depends on my mood)
Vaseline (Scent doesn't matter but I use the cocoa butter formula... it's sooo good)
Perfume // Cologne in your scent (duh... Mine is Fresh Cream and Warm Cashmere by Philosophy... it's so GOOOODDDD)
Body Spray in your scent (I use Sol de Janeiro 71)
Step one! Wash your hair first, you don't want the oils and dirt running down ur clean skin!!
Go in with the bar soap, I use an African net sponge but a loofa or wash cloth is fine! This is the first was that actually gets you clean! :PP
Scented body wash next! It can be bath and body works shower gel or dove body wash! Doesn't matter, it's just depositing the scent onto ur skin
EXFOLIATE!! This gets allll of the dead skin off! and leaves you feeling like a dolphin LMAO. Some people do this before washing their body or in between the bar soap and the body wash, just depends on what you feel best doing!
This would be where you shave, so if you do shave, go for it!
Now you can get out of the shower or continue your concert!! But once you do get out IMMEADIATLY dry off any parts that crease (ex. between the toes, pits, any place that is known as "stinky" or creases! this helps prevent moisture build up) Put on your deodorant, Then LATHER YOURSELF IN YOUR LOTION. HEAD. TO. TOE. This adds moisture to your skin and helps keep you moisturized.
Now it's oil time!! (ik this part can be a sensory nightmare so feel free to skip on bad days or all together :33) Oil will lock in the moisture which will help the scent stick to your skin!
Now you can get dressed lols. Now it's time for Vaseline! Put it on your pulse points (Wrists, inner elbow, below the ear, the sides of your neck, behind your knee, ankles. Basically anywhere the skin is thin! Refer to the picture below if your lost!)
PERFUME TIME!!!! Put it anywhere you put your Vaseline. DO NOT RUB IT IN. I WILL GET YOU!! Rubbing it ruins the notes! Also don't spray and walk through it... that's a waste :PP)
Body spray! This goes basically anywhere the perfume isn't tbh. It's best used over your clothes and sprayed on your hair brush to distribute the scent into ur hair. (I just use a hair perfume for that tho) This supports your base scent or adds other elements to your scent! (My main scent notes are vanilla, woody, musky, powdery, balsamic, sweet, coconut, and amber while my body spray is, caramel, vanilla, nutty, salty, chocolate, and powdery. They are similar but both have their own unique scents that add to one another! Creating a totally unique blend that's even more unique on my skin!)
That's it for scents :PPP!!
This is the end of the first post!! call it a PT. 1!!
I need to do a little more searching for definitions and such for the future post! Stick around for that!!
