Yesterday around 8:00pm I started bleeding. No cramping but enough to scare me, we went to the ER and sat for what seemed like forever. They gave us an ultrasound where we got to see baby, it was measuring 8w6d and had a heartbeat of 170. We were told I had a subchorionic hemorrhage which was totally normal and most people went on to have healthy pregnancies. We got home around 1:30am, I was having some heavier cramps. I decided to jump in the shower and see if the water would help. Afterwards I was laying in bed and couldn’t get comfortable. I went to the bathroom and passed what looked like a flesh color clot. Knowing that wasn’t normal I investigated cause I had to know if it was my baby. I realized it was the sack so I opened it and the first thing I saw was the babies hand. With its little fingers and immediately lost it. Then I saw it’s head with its eyes. I will never get that image out of my head, but I had to know. I woke my husband and told him. I made an appointment with my ob this morning and she confirmed I had lost the baby. My husband is absolutely devastated. He went in to the visit with hope, when I already knew there was no way. Im absolutely shattered inside. How could my body fail me again? Why would God put me through this for a second time, knowing how hard we tried, how long we waited, and how much we prayed?
My doctor is going to draw betas until my hcg is at 0 then she is going to do some extra testing to see if I have something genetic is causing the miscarriages. Then I suppose we will start again.

For miscarriage anon, the chances of having 8 miscarriages, let alone becoming pregnant that many times is nearly, if not completely, impossible. And becoming pregnant without sex *is* impossible, unless, and this is my best guess as to the direction you’re going, and I’m going to caution you if it is, would be the person was assaulted and doesn’t remember it happening. If that is the case, research first, I would recommend changing some things around and using multiple situations. PT 1/?
Miscarriage anon PT 2/? Make multiple drafts, and speak to or research people who have become pregnant as a result of assault if that is indeed the path you’re taking. No matter what, research, and if possible, talking to as many sources as possible will improve your story, and give you solid facts and a better idea where to go, and how someone may take your story. Have those people give their input, and read drafts of your story. I cannot stress researching enough 2/?
Miscarriage anon 3/3 You are writing about some very emotional, and extremely painful topics. I caution you to think this through. As someone who has lost a child, the way this bit of story outline sounds thus far is something completely impossible and unlikely, and you’re creating a severe dramatization of a traumatic experience that it seems you have had no experience with. Writer to writer, research and gain true accounts of people that have experienced this, or do not write this story. 3/3
