In the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are as many as 407 NPCs that can be found throughout the overworld. Each one has unique dialogue, interactions and relations with Link.

Some of these NPCs are travelers and merchants. They wander around the map, selling their goods to Link when he comes across them. Below is a chart containing their names, goods, costs, and possible locations. Thank you @aikoiya for the wonderful map, this belongs to them!

One small note: there is one merchant missing. Meghyn can be found near the Lucky Clover Gazette and Tabantha Great Bridge. She sells Hylian Shrooms, Rushrooms, Razorshrooms, Ironshrooms, Brightcaps, Chillshrooms, and Stamella Shrooms at the regular prices.

If you look at the four shrines on the Great Plateau in Breath of the Wild, you can find a cool easter egg hidden within! The hand placement and positions of monks Oman Au, Ja Baij, Keh Namut, and Owa Daim can be lined up together to reveal a hidden triforce.

Oman Au (the creator of the Mangesis trial) holds the top triangle, that which represents strength and divine power.

Ja Baij (the creator of the Bomb trial) forms the triangle on the bottom right, which represents bravery and courage.

Keh Namut (the creator of the Cryonis trial) builds the bottom left triangle, which represents wisdom and knowledge.

Finally, Owa Daim (the monk of the Stasis trial) creates the inner triangle, which is empty space in the center of the original triforce.

Together, all four monks form the triforce---the ultimate symbol of The Legend of Zelda! Take a look here as well to see it more clearly:

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there is a secret cave full of treasure that is one of the few not associated with any side quest in the game! It can be raided at any point during gameplay.

This cave is located northwest of Gerudo Tower in the Gerudo Highlands, hidden by boulders that must be moved to access the inside. Inside can be found the following:

In the chests (Doesn't respawn after blood moons) - A gold rupee (worth 300) - Opal - Bomb Arrows x5 On the ground (respawns after blood moons) - Gerudo Scimitar, Gerudo Spear - Golden Bow - Radiant Shield - Edge of Duality

This is a neat place for players who need some quick money or high end weapons. Happy searching!

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there is a very small easter egg related to Link when he cooks.

In Breath of the Wild, Link would hum a simple unrecognizable song whenever watching his food cook in a pot. In Tears of the Kingdom, however, there is a wide variety of songs that he hums---all titles from Zelda games! If you listen closely, you may hear:

- Zelda's Lullaby - Legend of Zelda Main Theme - Epona's Theme - Champion's Ballad - Lost Woods Theme - More!

These are some of the best videos I've found which have most of his songs. There may be some missing, but pay attention next time you cook and don't skip the cutscene!

In the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Kass is a Rito bard who can be found all across Hyrule. He sings and plays the accordion, sharing stories he was taught by his late teacher. Some of these songs are puzzles that, once solved, lead to shrines.

There are a total of 8 shrine quests told by Kass. You can find them in the following places: - "The Serpent's Jaws" in the Pagos Woods - "The Two Rings" on the West Hyrule Plains - "The Crowned Beast" on Rabia Plain - "Sign of the Shadow" at Gerudo Tower - "A Song of Storms" at Calora Lake - "Master of the Wind" at Horon Lagoon - "The Hero's Cache" at Kitano Bay - "Under a Red Moon" at Washa's Bluff

One interesting detail is about the actual themes he plays at each location. When played in the correct order, these songs actually form the main theme of the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

One small difference between the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom is the function of rock octorocks!

In Breath of the Wild, Link can place rusty weapons or shields next to an octorock and it will suck them up and spit out an un-rustified version of the item. For example, a rusty broadsword may turn into a knights broadsword. This technique can be done multiple times per octorock!

In Tears of the Kingdom, Link can place any weapon, bow, or shield in front of a rock octorock and it will not only 1) reset the durability to 100% 2) add a random bonus effect onto the item. These upgrades can only be done once per octorock every blood moon.

Possible upgrades in Tears of the Kingdom include: - Durability up - Attack up - Long Throw - Critical Hit - Quick Shot - Shield Guard Up

Here are the locations of the majority of rock octorocks in both games (Tears of the Kingdom on the left, Breath of the Wild on the right). Happy repairing!

In Tears of the Kingdom, finding lightroots can sometimes be a pain, especially if Link is just walking around the Depths trying to spot them randomly.

One surefire way to find a lightroot is to find it's "sister shrine" first.

If there is a shrine on the land of Hyrule (sky islands don't count), simply switch to the Depths map and mark that same spot; there will always a lightroot directly beneath any land shrines.

Interestingly enough, the names of any given lightroot is the same as it's sister shrine, but written backwards. For example, in Central Hyrule there exists the Jiosin Shrine. Beneath it is the Nisoij Lightroot.

In the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there are two sidequests that make use of the blue flame. Located in two places (one in Hateno and one is Akkala), Link must take this flame from it's main source and transport it back to the tech center in the area to progress the storyline.

Throughout the various paths to both tech centers, there are stone torches that can be lit only by this blue flame. These, once lit, don't go out in the rain. They act as useful "checkpoints" in case Link loses the fire on the way up. There are 18 torches total in Hateno and 30 in Akkala.

One interesting detail is how NPCs interact with the blue flame. If Link walks through Hateno Village with a torch lit with the flame, the children of the village will stop their tasks and follow him around. Even if he walks far away from the town, they still follow, enamored by the flame and its color.
