🚨 MinRex Resources (ASX: MRR) Confirms High-Grade REE, Titanium & Scandium Mineralisation Across IOCG & BHT-Style Targets 🌏⚒
MinRex Resources (ASX: MRR) — currently trading at approximately $0.008 per share — has released results from its latest greenfields RC drilling program targeting IOCG (Iron Oxide Copper-Gold) and BHT (Broken Hill Type) style systems. Though the campaign did not intersect copper-gold mineralisation, it delivered significant critical mineral results, highlighting the presence of Rare Earth Elements (REE), Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂), and Scandium (Sc).
📍 Key Results:
Benriach – 27 m @ 102 ppm Sc₂O₃ & 2.23% TiO₂ from 171 m (BHTRCP002)
Oban – 117 m @ 3.31% TiO₂ & 47 ppm Sc₂O₃ from 15 m (OBNRC001)
Talisker – 27 m @ 718 ppm TREO*, including 9 m @ 1,037 ppm TREO from 45 m (TSKRCP004)
Talisker – 36 m @ 546 ppm TREO, including 3 m @ 1,101 ppm TREO from 27 m (TSKRCP001)
*TREO = Total Rare Earth Oxides (La₂O₃ + CeO₂ + Pr₆O₁₁ + Nd₂O₃ + Sm₂O₃ + Eu₂O₃ + Gd₂O₃ + Tb₄O₇ + Dy₂O₃ + Ho₂O₃ + Er₂O₃ + Tm₂O₃ + Yb₂O₃ + Lu₂O₃ + Y₂O₃)
💬 Technical Director, Ian Shackleton, commented:
"We are currently reviewing these results in more detail against other data sets and in context to known deposits in the region to determine their potential extent and significance.”
🎯 Targets Tested:
The RC drilling campaign tested a range of IOCG and BHT-style targets—identified through reprocessing and interpretation of gravity, aeromagnetic, and EM datasets—aimed initially at locating copper, gold, and base metals.
🧠 Investor Outlook:
With demand rising for REEs, TiO₂, and Sc among renewable energy, aerospace, and tech sectors, MinRex’s results place it as an emerging player in the critical minerals space. The diversity of commodities across its tenements could underpin multiple future growth opportunities.
📢 MinRex will issue further updates as exploration progresses, in line with ASX disclosure obligations.
