My adventure started with an idea born of desperation. I was stuck in a place I hated with no opportunities. It was turning into summer and I was living in a metal bus. With no A/C the bus turns into an oven in the Florida sun by 10am. I was gifted the parking space in a nicer Trailer park by a friend that owned the place and lived on the property next to it. I say Nicer because the land lord actually cares about the property and it’s a ten minute walk to the beach.     I was here for my kids I told my self every day. I would spend 5 days alone in my bus or at my buddy’s house when he was not at work. The other two day’s I would be an unwelcome guest at my in-laws or in a hotel with the family if we could afford it.  (I won’t bore you with this part of the story.)  After doing this for months I finally started to go crazy.       So we spent some saved money and went to visit family in Missouri for a week.  As that trip was ending, my kids where going back to school and I did not want to go back to the bus. So I decided to take a day and visit a Quartz Crystal fee dig I had seen on YouTube or TV at some point in the past. I found the mine and spent a day there.      After my day at that mine, I felt like the show I had seen had totally misrepresented what I had just been thru to get a fist full of quartz crystals. So instead of leaving the area I decided to do some research, try a different mine, record and give a review of the next place I visited. Twin Creek quartz crystal mine was my first YouTube episode. That is the birth of my YouTube Channel Mining America.     After I recorded the video and uploaded it to YouTube I was back in my bus thinking “Would I rather get a job at a fast food joint in the area (the only available work in the area) Or take a real crazy shot at making a living digging for minerals and recording for YouTube.” So I told my wife my Idea and she figured there was no stoping me. So I started making plans, And that week an older gentleman sideswiped our minivan! UUUUgggghhhh! With the insurance money I was able to get a 2007 ford Taurus. I packed it up all crazy and started off on my new adventure Mining America.
