mini-squatch replied to your post “Do you smell like wind or jet fuel?”
Im sorry, but wtf is the smell of wind?
It depends on the wind and the surroundings, and many other factors. Usually the wind smells like metal, with traces if Energon and rust if you’re in the wild. Or the ruins. The wind in the ruins smells strongly of rust. When it’s very hot, before the rainy season, you can begin to smell ozone and other ionized gases, and the smell of rust would even creep into the cities. It heralded rust storms. When the ionized smell went away, it was replaced with a tinge of acid, before the rains began. In cities, the wind smelled like people - exhaust and different ingredients added to Energon. There was a lot of Energon smell - fresh and varied, a lively smell. The wind over a battlefield smells of Energon in a very different way - a heavy smell fouled with lubricants and ammonia and fried circuitry.
On Earth, the wind smells like all sorts of things. Mainly plants and water though. I imagine in human cities it smells like human food and exhaust from human machines.
Seekers have large facial vents with chemical and charge sensors for the detection of Energon, so we can learn quite a bit from the smell of wind. Granted most of things aren’t strictly the smell of the wind itself, but smells carried on the wind, but I would say ozone and trace rust and acid particles count as atmospheric conditions and are part of the wind.
Incidentally, when I’m out scouting in whatever weather, I do pick up smells like that, but they fade quickly.

well, what did you tell your cousin?
I asked her what she thought since I was sitting right in front of her. She just kind of giggled and went on her merry way. XD
