How to access it :

Tap Travel, and it’s the fifth option from the top. Unlocked after reaching a certain stage.

Why you should do it :

EQUIPMENT!

It is one of the most stable and reliable ways of grinding gear with set bonuses, and offers purple, orange, and red equipment shards for sale. The gear you get cannot be upgraded, but it will last you a fair while regardless! (Besides, have you seen the mats you need to upgrade an Orange gear to Red???)

You can get DPS, Defensive, and Agility-type equipment sets here.

Purple gear (20 shards) : 16000 Points per piece

Orange gear (50 shards) : 136000 Points + 150 Orange tickets per piece

Red gear (80 shards) : 1000000 Points + 480 Red tickets per piece

Regarding points and tickets :

Fighting your way through the levels nets you Intrigue points, orange tickets, and red tickets. These are used to purchase equipment shards in the Intrigue shop.

Points : Gotten at every level.

Orange tickets : You start getting these at Stage 28-30.

Red tickets : You start getting these at Stage 58-60.

(The tickets are not random drop, I’ll explain why I listed a “range” of Stages later.)

How to do it :

Intrigue is divided into Levels which comprise of 3 Stages. When you tap on the current Stage (indicated by two crossed swords above the Stage), you are given three options.

The left-most is the weakest version of the level, and defeating it gives you one star. The middle gives you two stars. The right-most is the hardest, but gives you three stars.

When you clear 3 Stages, you choose a buff that you “pay” stars for. (IMHO unless you’re a mathematical/statistics genius of some kind just choose the most “expensive” one that you can afford.)

The more discerning of you would probably be scratching your heads at this point and wondering, “why does this mini-game have such a fudging overcomplicated system???” 

Tap the purplish coin pouch button on top-left of the screen. 

Earning as many stars as possible during a Level gives you more points. AND...

The only way to farm Orange and Red tickets (the true prizes you’re after) is to 9-star clear specific Levels.

More things you should know :

1. After losing a fight, you have to reset to Stage 1. 

2. You get free resets daily depending on your VIP level + you can buy 1 reset per day for 100 taels. At VIP 3, it’s 1 free reset, and VIP 4 you get 2. Not sure about VIP 0~2.

3. PRO-TIP : See that orange button at the bottom? After you 9-star clear a Level, you can use that button to skip the Level completely! Cuts down the time needed tremendously. What it ALSO means is that if you squeaked by a 9*-clear once, you never have to worry about that level again!

4. I juuuuuuust got this new button on mine, which I suspect is a “fast-forward through Stages 1 ~ 54″ thing, but it needs me to 9-star clear that Level so... I’ll keep you guys posted.

How to access it : 

Tap Explore, and it’s the 3rd option from the top. 

Why you should do it : 

It gives you,

a. crafting ingredients for recipes to gift to the Emperor, 

b. basic crafting ingredients for clothes, 

c. EXP pills, and 

d. upgrade materials for your heroes,

e. supplies for your faction daily quests.

How to do it :

Travel is divided into many levels. To unlock a level, you must challenge and defeat it. (Challenging a level, even if you fail, does not consume any tickets.) After unlocking a level, you can then farm it using travel tickets. 

Travel tickets come in two types,

a. the first type is absolutely free (”Free Travel”) and you slowly regenerate tickets up to a maximum amount, dependant on your VIP level. (My VIP level is 3, and I can hold 150 of such tickets.)

b. the second type (”Travel Tickets”) is bought or collected from dailies / treasure chests, there’s no upper storage limit that I can determine.

BUT WAIT, BEFORE YOU GO USING YOUR TICKETS...

At scheduled times of the day, some levels drop additional, rare items! You probably want to save your tickets for those times. :) Usually, they drop flowers, but occasionally they also drop orange and red hero shards.

To check when the next batch of rare items drop, tap the Loudspeaker icon (”Broadcast”) on the top left, and it will show you the next scheduled time, the levels where rares can drop, and what will drop. If the rares are dropping right then, it will even have a button that brings you directly to that stage so you can start farming!

A few things to note :

a. At the scheduled time, a batch of rare items is added to the loot table of that particular level. This batch is SHARED among the players of your server. So if 20 red hero shards are added to the loot table, once all 20 shards have been claimed, there won’t be anymore. Fastest finger wins!

b. You can monitor how many of the rare item is still left in the loot table by going to that level. The red number in the bottom (”Precious Items”) shows the number of rares left.

Drawing fists is one of the areas I feel like always having most trouble with.

Many hand tutorials mention "archs" as a good guide, and I agree with that most of the time - but for fists... it seem to not for for ME (remember people; There's no 100% flawless technique that works for everyone, and while using archs is very effective for most people, it seem to not help me out as much as I hoped.)

But some days ago, I found my own technique. I'm going to show you by first doing a drawing of a fist, using the picture above as reference.

I start with the wrist, palm and the thumb - since these serves as a "homebase".

Now I start drawing the knuckles/fingers. I use a little bit of negative-space thinking here, and use the outer silhouette as a start instead. Remember to make sure the silhouette match the reference as good as possible.

And here's where I use my own technique for the placement of the phalanges. Instead of doing an arch, I sketch out a stair-like path. I check the reference as good as I can while during this.

Let's observe the reference once again. The red lines show more or less how I think when I use a reference. Using the negativa-space-technique is very effective in this case. The ref lines also shows how you can find "paths" that connects the shape of the palm-muscle with the pinky-finger and so on. This is a good way to think when using references.
