minho was the third person to come up in the box. newt was the 7th. for his whole first week in the glade newt wouldn’t trust anyone, wouldn’t talk to anyone, was reclusive. minho was the only person he consistently failed to hide from. the only one who refused to let him run away. no one can outrun minho anyways. so he stuck to him, and one night when newt couldn’t sleep, minho couldn’t either, and they found each other and spent the whole night talking. and newt realized he could trust minho and find a friend in him, and stopped hiding from everyone when he realized that he was loved and accepted there. minho was already close to alby, they had leadership roles and got along well, and through minho newt became close to alby as well. soon the three of them were inseparable, and trusted each other with their lives
