3³ predictions if Minecraft 2 were a thing (likely MINECRAFT²)
1. Different Modes than Creative, Survival, and Hardcore.
What about MMO, RTS, MOBA, RPG, Platformer, 3D fighter, 3D Beat em up, Contruction Simulator, 4X, and Artillery, or combining them in a mix-and-match system.
2. Different Viewpoints/Formats than 1st person, 3rd Person controlling, and 3rd Person Facing
What about Isometric, Up-top, Platformer View, etc. With modes that utilize the mouse, include ways to build and destroy with the mouse, just about any way, depending on time.
3. M1: 3x3 Crafting Tables = 9 squares. M2: 9x9 Crafting Tables = 81 Squares.
81 squares with 9 tables, Or 6x6 with 4 crafting tables. Anyone would be able to store things for bigger projects. Newer, bigger recipes and projects, and enhancements via number 5 below.
4. More Contructionization.
Now that theres bigger tables, it means more precise creations. Also, the block is divided into 8 smaller blocks, the smallest you can currently find is on a corner staircase. Thats as small as you can go. No more dead spaces. You place some stairs, you can fill them in with 2 individual 1/8 blocks. None of this is available in regular creative, theres a material, and what it could be done with it. You open oak wood, you get oak log in 4-8 Sizes, planks in 4-8 sizes, and stripped in 4-8 sizes.
Oh yes. Thats an option. But you would have to be good at commands, and having a way of trading, an equivilent exchange forsay. Potions were just the beginning. With the combination of effects, comes more effects, along with effects being able to be attatched to things if you truly can. Stepping on an area could give you poison II with the amount of things from a source material. You could set fire without flint and steal, by exchanging sand for friction, and friction to its own purpose, through a system. A system of Memory and customization of ways. Perhaps a players ability they could learn one way or another could be becoming a creature, or having a flying boat.
6. Fusing Biomes, mobs, and places.
Need a transition, from forest to desert? Forest + Desert = Forest Desert. Mushroom+Mesa = Mushroom Mesa. The rest is up to what generates.
Trading 11 wheat for an emerald is old news. How about trading 64 gold for a diamond, or trading 1/8 dirt for 1/8 sand. Anything may work, again, with the balance of equivilant exchange, like rokakakas.
8. Menu capacity rather than menu size.
Ditch the system of having 3 rows in the inventory, for having how much of something you can carry. Weight can be turned on or off. With this, the 64 limit is gone, you can carry 2304 pieces of dirt with capacity without weight. The factor depends on what you have. To put it short, ditching space in boxes for how much of space, similar to the percentage of a hard drive.
