FOCUS ON THE GRATITUDE No matter how bad things get, there is always something to be thankful for. Every morning, I take a minute and journal about what I am thankful for. On beautiful overcast days like today, I sometimes feel overwhelmed with gratitude for my mentors. There are so many I owe so much to but right now I'm overwhelmed with love and gratitude to some ladies who touch my life everyday. @katedeckercoaching for her never ending enthusiasm bringing the sparkle to my life and challenging me to be more @jaclyn_shaw_ & @robyn_savage (of @forthewildfemme) for not only being an example of what it means to lead yourself but being both the support and the kick in the butt I need @alphafemme for opening me up to new ideas, and giving me insanely beautiful energy to calibrate to @alignedhabits for cheering me on, helping me find my way back to alignment, and showing up in a way that inspires me They are the ones expanding and motivating me to find a way to continue to serve my clients better and better. Stop “just-ifying” your progress * * * I say this a lot in trainings “remove the "just" from your position and progress” * * * Don't say, I'm just a-whatever your job title is. I worked out, but it was just 5 mins. I baked, but it was just a box cake. I just... * * * That word "just" sometimes dips and withdraws negatively from your mindset. * * * It's saying yeah I accomplished something but, it wasn't great. WORKER MIND: $100 is kinda alot BOSS MIND: How much is your monthly fee for your job? WORKER MIND: ??? BOSS MIND: Well, how much do you spend a week in gas? Times that by 4. That's your monthly fee for your job. Add in clothes/uniform, supplies, cost of a babysitter, etc. Those are your additional one time fees. Is it more than $100/month? WORKER MIND: It is BOSS MIND: So if you're willing to invest that monthly fee to work for someone else, why aren't you willing to invest less than that to build for yourself and your family? BOSS MIND: And that's not being said out of disrespect at all. I respect your work ethic. But you came to me for help, whether an incoming $3000/month would be additional to or replacing your current income. I'm telling you now, you have to help yourself. And in order to do so, you have to realize if you're in need of a change, you have to make a change. I'm just saying, think it over.
