Hanna hardly remembered her preschool days, much less something that had happened before then so she wasn’t quite sure when she made her first friend but the first thing that popped up in her mind was the image of her beloved dog Silver, who had been with her for almost fourteen years and still counting. Did he classify as that? As a possible first friend? The thought made the corner of her lips tug upwards slightly as she nodded her head, growing more and more certain that yes, her dog had indeed been her very first friend. And her best one at that, also.❝I hope I won’t sound ridiculous, but I’m almost certain I will have to answer this question with Silver, my dog. I remember my mother picked him up from the streets when I was five years old and he has been with me ever since, even if he’s currently living in Busan with my aunt and her family. He’s a very old companion, but one I hold close to my heart and I think he still stands as a representation for all the good things I’ve encountered in my life. Does that make any sense? ❞ The smile momentarily dropped at her last words, serving for the bitter lines around her mouth to stand out rather prominently. It upsetted Hanna to think that, at one point, Silver would die too and with that, take away all of the memories she had of her beloved childhood. It was painful, but above all it was heartbreaking to think about the fact that the dog was not granted a life as long as that of a human.
