How do Sapphire and Bubbles feel about evolving, especially given how the Ninetales species is depicted in PMD canon?

hi ty for the ask! sapphire is open to evolution for the power and height (whatever you do, do NOT call her short), as for bubbles she does feel some hesitance to the prospect of evolving (a lot of baggage attached to the ninetales species, could outlive her partner for a millenium, etc.), but I think she eventually musters up the courage to go through with it. they treat their evolution as an achievement for all they've endured and it's like a fresh start for them!

plus I like how I drew them here and I'd love to make post-canon comics about them in these forms in the future :3c

(in game I would never evolve them though. it messes up their sprite animations when they wake up each morning and you lose a few of partner’s portraits too, for example the happy face they make after winning sentry duty. they stay baby in game)
