I just have to say something. I've seen so many people hating on Miles because he's just a copy of Aaron. and imo, that's the furthest thing from the truth. Aaron had a lot of goals to prove himself in a new light, and make detective one day, etc. He and Celina were definitely close friends but I think they had fundamentally different views on how they wanted to live their lives. Aaron grew up rich, and would have never considered living in an apartment like Lucy/Celina's because it was too low grade for him. Also, Aaron still wasn't confident in himself by the time he left.
Miles has had some growing to do, for sure, and he has had a compelling emotional arc. He also shares more of Celina's view on life. He's open-minded, but not too eager to please everyone.
Celina, though she has had to grow a lot, has 1000% always known who she is and who she wants to be. she's so confident, and a healthy friend and roommate to whomever she's living with.

Miles is not entirely sure how hanging out with people Celina knows and he’s left as the odd man out is supposed to help his nerves, but the smile she has is just so infectious that he says, “Yeah. That sounds like a great idea.” “I’ll talk to Lucy,” Celina says brightly, and Miles immediately feels relief, because it’s not some stranger. He likes Lucy, and he thinks she likes him well enough. And she’s such a ray of sunshine, that whoever she’s bringing to this double date must be enjoyable as well. This’ll be great.
