*internally* ENTP: Crap. Do I give a compliment back-no, it wouldn't sound genuine. Do I say 'thanks, I get that all the time?' to make them laugh--no, I'd sound too arrogant. Just 'thanks', ENTP, just 'thanks'.

ENTP: Thanks, I get that all the time.

INFP: *laughs*

*Nearing the bus station late at night*

Random Guy: NO! F*** YOU! (something loud and incomprehensible.)

ENTP: ... Well he's angry. Let's go this way. (away from the bus station) I really don't feel like being yelled at today, and you probably wouldn't like it either.

ENTP: No, yeah, I get that, but I don't want a stranger yelling at me, and I'm pretending I'm protecting you by using you as an excuse. Let me have this one.

INFP *internally*: I already am letting you have this one????

INFP: Uhm. Okay. Yes. Well, actually that is the case.

ENTP: I'm protecting you.

Don’t tell me you’ve never had the moment of complete irritation with people. The kind that says, “Dammit! I love you so much! You are so incredible! You shine so much!” but they cannot see it, so you want to shake them with, “DON’T YOU KNOW YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO SHINE SO MUCH BRIGHTER THAN YOU ALREADY ARE?!”   But that would be awkward, and so you just sit there swirling it around in your heart and on your tongue, hoping that the shoulder you lend, and the ear you give, and the heart you present will be enough to nudge them towards the truth of their radiance.
