BLINK
@drarrymicrofic for the prompt BLINK
“Good morning, Mr Potter,” Narcissa Malfoy greets. “I trust you had a good night.”
“Why am I here?” Harry demands, trying to recall how he could have ended up in where he is pretty sure is Malfoy Manor.
“Well, you ignored all our invitations to meet,” Mrs Malfoy says. “We suspected it might be because you do not have our floo address and require some help getting here.”
Harry glares at her. “That doesn't explain why I'm here.”
“Straight to the point then, I see. First off, congratulations on your coming out,” Mr Malfoy says, as he levitates a love seat, bringing it closer to the bed. He and his wife take a seat on it across from Harry. “Now, I would congratulate you on your engagement to my son, but I believe that part can wait until you formally and properly ask for his hand.”
Harry blinks, ignoring how his heart beats faster at the words. “I'm not engaged to Malfoy. I'm definitely not going to ask you or him for that matter.”
“Oh, but you will, Mr Potter,” Mr Malfoy informs him. “Our son has no interest in any of the matches we have arranged for him. He has set his gaze on you and will not be persuaded on anyone else. We want grandchildren, you see, and more than that, we want our son's happiness. If that means having you for a son in law, then so be it."
Heat curls low in Harry's stomach at the news Malfoy likes him, but he squashes it. “That sounds like a you problem. Now, unless you really miss your room in Azkaban, I suggest you release me right now.”
“You're right, Mr Potter, it is our problem.” Mrs Malfoy's smile would be considered kind and gentle, if not for the words that followed. “And the life debt you owe me means I can fulfill my son's desires.”
