Fake AH Crew’s Golden Boy, Gavin Free

Hi @micooll! Sorry for the delay in getting back, with the holidays coming up my life has been crazy. <3 

Fav headcanons about Mavin you ask? Hmmm... 

1) FAHC Mavin is a destructive force to be reckoned with. Gavin is always the ideas man, right? He’s always the one who is going to goad Michael into doing ridiculous stunts for his own amusement. If it’s sniping a cop from a rooftop (when they know they’ll be targeted) just to see the man’s head explode, or jumping into the LS ocean naked in the middle of February, or to jump a car off a ramp just to have the thrill of flying for a few seconds, Michael will do whatever he has to do in order to make Gavin happy. The good thing is, Michael is a smart boy, and tends to make sure that they won’t actually die when he’s following Gavin’s insane instructions.

2) Michael is the only one who knows when FAHC Golden Boy Gav is working himself too hard. The other suspects, but Michael knows his boi better than anyone. Knows how he holds his shoulders when he’s tired. Understands the quiver in his voice or how his questions don’t hold as much bite. When he’s too tired to function anymore, he doesn’t speak up as much. Small things only Michael notices, which leads him to drag Gavin - normally kicking and screaming - into bed.

3) In the same vein, Gavin is always the one to fix Michael up after big fights. The others care and Jack especially will try to knit Michael back together, but if its just a few scrapes and burns and scratches, Gavin is the one who will lovingly apply the dressings and cover them up with bandages. He always makes sure to kiss around the wounded area. It’s their small moment of intimacy when they realize that they likely both won’t get out of this mess alive, so they’d better make the best of it while they can.

4) Gavin likes to watch Michael fight through their cams during heists. There’s something so naturally poetic about the way Michael hacks and slashes his way through enemies. Even more so when he’s gunning them down. He won’t tell the others, but he especially likes the way his boi’s muscles bulge through his shirt when he goes wild with the nail-spiked club he especially likes for close combat.

5) FAHC bois both have matching Team Nice Dynamite tats. They went out and got them together when they were bored and drunk. Neither regret it, although they both tease each other without mercy.

King AU in here for good measure:

1) Similar to #4 above, Gavin likes to watch Mogar - Michael - King of the Mountain Kingdom fight. There’s a dance to it that he can sit and watch as if transfixed. That’s how they got together the first time - MIchael felt himself being watched and followed the gaze to find little Gavin Free, King of the Jungle Kingdom, watching him hotly. They made out behind the changing tent that afternoon. Then again after the feast. Then again when they got back to the rooms. And then fucked on three surfaces.

2) Michael never knows what to do when he goes to the Jungle Kingdom and has to try to adhere to rules that aren’t part of his own more rugged society. He doesn’t know how to dress nice for courtly dinner - his idea of formality is war paint and more beautiful skins and pelts. Gavin dresses him up nice and teaches him all the manners with the patience of a saint. Michael still swears and acts crude during dinner, but sometimes it makes Gavin smile, so it’s worth it.

3) In the same vein, the day Gavin had to dress up for their wedding in the Mountain Kingdom and got his paint and a ceremonial dressing of skins, Michael almost made them late to their bonding ceremony by having to take him a few times before they even got downstairs. They are very tactile boys.

4) I feel like Gavin teaches Michael to like reading in this AU. They sit and read together by the roaring fire of the mountains, draped in a pile of furs, cuddled together and reading their different tomes. Michael likes war strategy and hunting accounts and myths and legends of heroes. Gavin likes anything about science that Ryan, King of the Stoneworld, can give him. They chat every once in a while about what they read, but it’s a very lazy evening. 

5) Michael is a much more aggressive King than Gavin could ever be. He’s always looking for war that Gavin will not. This leads to more than one fight with their joined Kingdom, but when war threatens the Jungle and Gavin sees Michael’s warriors lining up to fight behind him and his soldiers, his heart swells with how much his husbands’ men will also follow him.

OH BUDDY I CAN GO ON ABOUT THIS AU

i’m so conflicted between fae gav and witch gav! bc on one hand fae gavin is perfect for the golden boy because he’ll talk circles around you and convince you to give him exactly what he wants without you even realizing that you’ve done it until it’s too late, but he’s also fiercely protective of the others and tries to not ever trick them (but will still bring them gifts like a cat bringing a bird to its human)

BUT witch gav is also so good because he’ll hand out beneficial spells to the crew like candy and scrawls protection runes on their arms before heists , but when it comes to crew enemies he’ll work for days on spells and curses to bring them down. he’s the squish of the crew but his magic is so powerful that does it really matter?

and OH MAN MICHAEL i have a soft spot for werebear michael who has never liked his shift but uses it to his advantage anyways, begrudgingly accepts its use the rest of the time especially when it comes to the strength and endurance it gives him but always hates the full moon when he feels out of control UNTIL:
