I’m so confused…
So I live in the U.S. and I am so confused as to why so many of my Australian friends & followers don’t support Anzac Day? Like I looked it up on wiki and it seems like it’s pretty much our Veterans Day or Labor Day Memorial Day, which EVERYONE celebrates here. Whether that’s for actually celebrating the lives and service of our armed forces or just bc we have school and work off for it… Idk. I mean most of my family and all of the families I know have had someone in the armed forces so why are a lot of Australians like mad? I would think that yeah, maybe they don’t agree with the politics of it all, and I don’t either (in regards to the U.S. in WW1 and after) but wouldn’t they want to celebrate the lives of their people? Idk!!! Inform me pls
