Not to yes and you but in addition to Jack following Cas's cagey lead of hiding things, the Boys do that too! See the Malak Box and Michael vesselhood and Sam trying to make Sam stab him. So many examples! The self-sacrificial hero mentality and lies of omission weren't were in the whole village, and Cas fits within that village but isn't singular. I'm always thinking too about your meta about Jack's subconscious, how the alienation wounds from early with the boys never truly disappeared. I think you pointed out how it communicates, "Screw up OR ELSE; be human OR ELSE. Unless you're powering up to kill angels and save mom and complete missions ofc." And yes, the boys are friendly to ethical monsters in the show, but I'm not sure Jack ever gets that message modelled... or the reassurance. (Again, I'm paraphrasing from your meta. Not trying to steal but I do think about your words a lot!)
you think about my words a lot.?🥹
