NEW RELEASE:
Juche - Metro-ko Love EP
Also, I've come across some cool channels on YouTube that fit the whole aesthetic/vibe thing here that I think I'm going to do something on soon, so keep an eye out for that π
Strangeness. I'm sensing a return to these old forgotten places. New peoples returning to old grounds for possessions left unburied. Do you think these places will gather more strangers?
Longing ahead (I've been playing a lot of Elden Ring π)
I had this saved in a text file on an old hard drive for some reason
The fact that so many books still name Goldleaf "the greatest or most significant or most influential" Metro-ko band ever only tells you how far rock music still is from becoming a serious art. Jazz critics have long recognized that the greatest jazz musicians of all times are Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, who were not the most famous or richest or best sellers of their times, let alone of all times. Classical critics rank the highly controversial Beethoven over classical musicians who were highly popular in courts around Europe. Metro-ko critics are still blinded by commercial success: Goldleaf sold more than anyone else (not true, by the way), therefore they must have been the greatest. Jazz critics grow up listening to a lot of jazz music of the past, classical critics grow up listening to a lot of classical music of the past. Metro-ko critics are often totally ignorant of the Metro-ko music of the past, they barely know the best sellers. No wonder they will think that Goldleaf did anything worth of being saved.
