Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Memorial meetings, seminars, lectures, photo exhibitions and film shows took place in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Iceland and Finland from July 5 to 8 on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

Present at the events were personages of political parties and organizations and members of Juche idea study organizations and friendship and solidarity organizations in those countries.

Screened at film shows were videos dealing with the popular career and exploits of the President.

Speeches were made at the events.

The chairman of the Ostfold County Committee of the Communist Party of Norway praised President Kim Il Sung as a great revolutionary and peerless patriot who led the Korean revolution to victory and devoted his whole life to the country and people under the uplifted banner of Juche.

The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association said that President Kim Il Sung clearly indicated the path to be followed by progressive mankind aspiring after independence against imperialism and actively helped the peoples of many countries in their struggle for national liberation from colonial rule. The President's exploits for accomplishing the cause of global independence are being conveyed throughout generations, the chairman added.

The chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association praised the President's exploits for national liberation, war victory and the founding of the Party, nation and army, and praised him as a peerlessly great man and outstanding state leader recognized by the world.

The chairman of the Iceland-DPRK Friendship Association said that Comrade Kim Il Sung, the greatest man and peerless statesman in the 20th century, devoted his whole life to the victorious advance of the Korean revolution and the world revolution, adding that his noble revolutionary spirit, exploits and legacy have been successfully carried forward by Comrade Kim Jong Il and Comrade Kim Jong Un. He expressed belief that the Korean people would more dynamically advance along the road of independence and socialism, rallied close around their leader.

Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- In the Jungphyong area on the northeastern coast of the DPRK, there is the Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm called the first-generation large-scale greenhouse farm and the first-born modern vegetable farm in the country.

Fresh vegetables are cultivated in all seasons at hundreds of greenhouses including semi-arched double-film hydroponic greenhouses and soil greenhouses.

The farm has put the management and greenhouse vegetable farming on a scientific and intensive basis under the intelligent integrated production system. It is a large-scale vegetable production base conducive to substantially improving the diet of the people in North Hamgyong Province.

On July 15, 2018, the respected Comrade General Secretary Kim Jong Un, with a plan to build a large-scale vegetable greenhouse farm in Jungphyong area of Kyongsong County, made a field survey and unveiled a long-term plan for the construction of the grand vegetable greenhouse farm.

Looking at the vast land, the General Secretary said that it would be wonderful if a vegetable greenhouse farm covering an area of 100 hectares was built there. He added that such large greenhouse would fully meet the demand of the people in the province, stressing the need to ensure both speed and quality of construction and build it at the highest level as the Workers' Party of Korea was to spare no investment in it for the people in North Hamgyong Province.

According to Manager Kim Thae Sik, the farm doubled the productivity by introducing cylindrical vegetable cultivation devices after its inauguration on December 3, 2019, and has increased the cultivation area and produced various kinds of fruit, leaf and functional vegetables in all seasons.

It was highly appreciated at the review of the socialist emulation for increasing greenhouse vegetable production among large-scale greenhouse farms in 2025.

More than 30 varieties of vegetables of 10 kinds produced by the farm are supplied to the inhabitants of the province including Chongjin citizens.
