go away. For Dick.
"Tsk, tsk," Dick replies with a playful but nevertheless disapproving click of tongue. An index finger sways back in forth with the tsks. "Now is that any way to treat your favorite brother? I even brought you food, Jay."

“Hello. Do you prefer I call you Black Mask… Mr. Black… Blackie…?” Jason's voiced echoed from the other side of the line.
୧ ‧₊˚ 🔪💋 ⋅ ──── "Black Mask will do... What do you want?"
you fucking idiot , you weren't supposed to take the hit for me.
𝐈𝐍𝐉𝐔𝐑𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐒
Normally Dick would say something witty – something that made light of the situation – but something in Jason's tone made him hold back. His shoulder felt like it was on fire. His suit had taken the brunt of the bullet's impact but it still hurt like hell. Not that he hadn't been shot before.
"What's a big brother for if he can't take the occasional bullet for his little brother?" Jason might not be a little kid anymore, but he was still his kid brother. He hadn't been there with the Joker, but he was there now. "Look, Jay, there's no version of this where I don't take the hit."
"But it's fine. A bad bruise is all."
"Promise me you are not going to get mad at me"
@littlemesseduphood
He hesitated, staring at Jason for a long moment at first. Contemplating. Thinking. After that kind of sentence, there was never anything good following, that was clear. But right now he still had the choice to ignore it; to simply not know what had happened. Best to rip off the plaster, though. “I won’t promise anything. It…depends on what you say next.”

@messeduphood replied to your post: "Well, what do you think if I invite you to come over, babe?"
"I love that idea. Let me shower and I'll be there in five. Need me to bring anything?"
@messeduphood sent: "Oh, fuck me." (For Rick)
Fucking Furious| Accepting
Rick looked from where he was standing to the ground where he'd just appeared. "You Bats always just fall from roofs?" He asked. "Or should I be concerned that I'm about to be in some kind of crossfire?"

After returning to Earth to reconnect with his grandfather Jason Quill, Peter was adjusting to basic Earth life. Things were a lot different now than they were back from 1989. Peter thought he'd get a job easily, he was a sturdy adult, good health, had people skills, and was willing to do hard labor if needed but apparently being an elementary school drop out and not being able to drive were the main factors of why he couldn't land even an interview for any job. It didn't matter how many times he saved or nearly destroyed the universe, people on Earth expected you to finish school and have a diploma or GED to prove it. Not even his grandfather realized how different things were. He was retired and hadn't had to apply for a job ever in his life. He had done a holo-conference with some of the other Guardians on the matter, and they all had the same, albeit unwanted advice: learn to drive, go back to school.
So it turned out learning to swim, as Mantis and Drax had put it meant to learn fractions. Go figure.
"Well I get that, but it messes me up when they mix the... denominer?"
The practice sheet in front of Peter was messy with him trying to figure things out on the side. He had never been great at math, it was his worst subject but he was trying to catch on. The fractions were still hard.
The problem he was on had the same numerator
⅗ - ³⁄₇ =
"So first we need to 'times' the bottom number, that's 35... I'm getting a bit stuck after that," he admitted. "Man that's a lot of pizza..."
He went from being Captain of the Guardians of the Galaxy, to just some idiot who was struggling on middle school level mathematics.
