Montstevens is interesting because they have completely different upbringings but still have a mountain of similarities despite that class divide.

Remember when she freaked tf out cuz she found out about Meredith and Derek? yeah. “Oh but she claimed it was because Meredith was getting all the surgeries” right, she didn’t seem to care about surgery privileges when Christina got with Burke, she later stated she was also mad cuz Meredith didn’t told her about the affair.

She was really jealous of Meredith & Christina’s friendship. Throughout the whole show Izzie made it very clear she was bothered by their friendship and still she never complained to Christina, not once. It was always about Meredith being closer to Christina not about Christina being closer to Meredith.

She barely recognized Derek outside the hospital, specially when he was with Meredith.

When she says she feels like a “proud mom” when Meredith tells her she hasn’t had sex with Finn yet.

Not choosing Meredith to be her maid of honor was… a choice.

Meredith was the last person she spoke to before leaving Seattle. Also, Izzie was the only person Meredith asked to stay (and till this day they probably second guesses it all)
