The Cawfish
One night a few weeks ago I somehow got it in my head that a crawfish (also known as crayfish, crawdads, etc) sounded like it was some sort of mythical monster that would be half fish and half crow. So basically a mermaid, except the human part was a bird. I quickly remembered that Hero Forge had introduced merfolk, and lo and behold, this abomination was created.
The cawfish pun came afterwards, so I think that the seed of this idea probably originates with “crow fish.”
Also, yes, it was pointed out that it is indeed “with boobs” – which makes no sense considering it’s not part mammal; and no, I didn’t consider that until it was pointed out. But I guess to me it fits in with the overall absurdity of it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Its been a whole year of drawing Crow every day 🥹 I didn't think Id get this far, or 'anyplace', really. It was just something to make myself feel better at the time.
From basic to mermaid Crow~
Happy art anniversary! 😊✨️

I just think. They might have surface gear. For adventures & interacting with land folk. Then their usual underwater appearance. (I tried using SOTDeep armor as inspiration ✨️)
& hunters have a big back fin meant to rep their capes LOL
