So I was running through my head thinking of Sanji’s and Zeff’s father and son relationship. As well as Sanji’s traumatic past with Germa. And I was thinking on how Sanji’s brothers being the little shits they are and mocking Sanji. They’d talk as if everything was a fact because the scientists and their own father rules Sanji out as a failure. And with Sanji being a kid, would have no choice but to believe everything everyone says about him as true. However thankfully because his mother enjoyed his food and company, he felt he was at least useful for someone. Giving him a sense of self worth because his mother was the only one who actually gave him genuine love and affection. This in turn, would make it to where the women would have a positive effect on his well-being, while the men would be the opposite. However due to Sanji escaping and being a stowaway on a ship, he had no choice in the matter but to hope that the people won’t throw him overboard. Thankfully they were nice and decent people, so of course they kept the kid and showed him how to cook because that’s what they did, and Sanji was someone who wanted to learn. Then pirates at take the ship whiles in storm, kid goes overboard, next thing you know things only got worse until the end where Sanji bearly made it out alive, Zeff especially from what they went through.
Well, I was thinking, or so I would imagine that doctors would be a frightening thing for Sanji, being as the Germa doctor scientists would say he was a failure of something he wasn’t even sure about. And anyone talking so matter of factually asking Sanji questions, and doing simple check ups would probably remind him of the doctors at Germa and his siblings. It would make it easy to ignore his own well-being and continuously focus on Zeff’s recovery. Because as far as Sanji knows, Zeff risked his life and ended his pirating days for a kid he just met. He’s clearly crazy has grown massive respect for him. All while feeling as he is in depth to this man. With the doctors needing the patients input on wether the process of recovery is working or not. I’d imagine Sanji would probably be stubborn in talking with doctors, or letting them do anything to him in fear of what they would do.
Maybe Zeff would see the kids distress, so he’d let the doctors do things to him first, so Sanji would have an idea of what the doctors were trying to do. And seeing as the doctors were not like the scientists at Sanji’s old home, Sanji decided to take a chance and trust Zeff that these doctors won’t hurt him. I’d like to think that Sanji would be picky with doctors, so Zeff would have to be present with Sanji in order to calm the kid down.
And Zeff now needing to look after a kid that he has a connection through his own dream. Thinks something along the lines of; Now how do you raise a kid when you have no experience with children in general, and before you were a fearful pirate captain with his own ship and fearful crew. Well the conclusion, treat the kid like a newbie cleaning boy, he’ll work his way up and if he doesn’t cooperate, then give the kid a little kick and shout to get to it.
Oh, the kid doesn’t respond well when people are gentle with him because he has some unknown traumatic past that I know much to nothing of? Yell at him then. Get the kid upset to where he fights back. And things will continue on from there.
Which would be why Zeff would kick or shout at the boy to keep Sanji in check and makes sure he learns valuable life lessons. He’d holler like a mad man just so Sanji would get pissed off. So the kid would say what’s on his mind. Helping the boy not freeze up if something triggers him.
Just a thought though, hopefully I’m making some sort of sense? I can’t really think of anything else to say on the matter unfortunately. My brain train hit a wall making nothing else come to mind.
What do you or anyone else think though? Any thoughts?
