one time my head chef was hardboiling a bunch of eggs for a salad we had on the menu and i could tell he had overcooked them because of the slight grayish green tint on the edge of the yolks and i mentioned that to him and asked if they were still ok to use and he was like "what? that doesnt mean its overcooked thats just what a hardboiled egg looks like" and i was like "no no its overcooked... its not supposed to have that color" and he laughed at me and repeated my observation to the other chefs and they all kind of laughed and then i pulled up a google search and was able to show him that i was right and he got so mad at me he sent me out of the kitchen and had me sit in the alley by the dumpster like i was in timeout for like 15 minutes
