1. i can be very competent if i put my mind to it. i can do taxes! chores! legal nonsense! editing! post-secondary programs! last night, with five minutes and a recipe, i made a cream sauce for the first time and it was pretty decent

2. since i’m a kid at heart, i’m actually pretty good at taking care of and relating to my ten bajillion younger cousins. need someone to babysit? i’m your gal. kids are fighting over the tv at a family get together? let’s watch emara and then play a spoopy board game

3. i try to be kind. i give money and food to people on the street and to charities. i don’t get into fights on the internet over ultimately meaningless bullshit. idk. i think it’s important to do what you can

4. holy shit am i in a much better place mentally than i used to be. it took so much therapy and hard work and maturation and learning to ask other people for help, but it was so god damn worth it and i’m proud of myself for getting here. i feel much more happy and assured and confident than i was as a teenager or even early twenties. i kind of want to go back in time and hug my past self and tell her it’ll get better
