Can I use question ten of that ask game (10: Why did you choose this pairing for this particular story?) as an excuse to ask about your fondness for analogical? It was one of my favorites, and clearly one of yours too from what I've seen, so I want to hear your take on it if that's okay.

okay so. here's the thing.
i don't (really) know why i like analogical so much.
it is probably my favorite ship in the series, up there with lamp (i know there's not much analogical content that i've written, i don't have explanations except *vaguely mumbles something and hides behind the nearest object*). i love reading it, writing it, looking at art of it, it's even uh. kinda my username. but.... i don't really. know. what it is that makes me drawn to the ship so much.
it could be the things in canon that we've been shown - the way that the two of them support each other (logan has exercises to calm down virgil's anxiety, virgil tries to respect logan's boundaries, etc etc) and just generally interact. but the thing is - i don't really use canon as a base for ships or character interactions in general? like i try to keep the characters' general personalities and stuff, and so most of the time they interact in similar ways to canon, but i don't want any ships to become canon, and (speaking as a multishipper here) it would be extremely unhealthy for many of the characters, the way they are in canon now, to get in relationships with each other. so i don't know if that's really what makes me drawn to it.
