Wait a minute.
Why was that one section of the Datattore fight basically the same as the fake Escher ink bit in the Temple of Space ?
And he had Pantalone do it to us earlier in the temple too…
Is there any connection there?

Two things about the temple of space First. Do you think that when the Abyss Twin left the Temple their memory also got wiped. Perhaps allowing the abyss to easier get hold over them and fill their mind with information making them think that they are the Abyss royality. An empty vessel for them to fill with information Secondly. I am kinda of the opinion that Melanta going on about how their master left with "Him/her" and the implication of Asmoday serving the Abyss Twin is a red herring. Melanta does not know what happens really outside the temple. They do not leave. Melanta also doesnt seem as well mentally. So maybe they just connect their Masters departure and the Twins departure together while Asmoday didnt leave with them. Yes Melanta says it but who says Melanta truely knows. A distraction so that when things get revealed they hit more. Also I am not saying "Paimon is the Shade of Space". Paimon could be something entirely different. Just found the reasoning of "She didnt get hell cubed cause nothing goes on in her head besides sleep and food" kinda weird. Like a "Haha. Funny joke. Dont look deeper".
anything's possible atp. i'm not sure how it would impact the timeline but it's possible they lost their memory or at least some of it? reminds me of venti telling us "our story" in the battlepass cutscene that had a line like:
"but she was deceived, and the memory of her noble origins faded. she now believed that she was the queen of the kingdom of darkness".......
and, ohh i never considered that route about the new master... it's possible, every character is an unreliable narrator and melanta is not exception... didn't seem to be very aware of asmoday's and the abyss twin's whereabouts, and who knows what kind of plot twist they could pull
and yeah, the thing about paimon not getting absorbed was suspicious as hell... i am not buying that reasoning that it's bcs she has essentially no thoughts in her head. i don't believe paimon is asmoday, never really did, but saying paimon didn't get absorbed just because she only thinks abt sleep and food to me clearly screamed >>> THIS IS SUSPICIOUS LOOK DEEPER <<<
with all her celestia motifs, even if she is not asmoday herself, she could be connected to her?
and i mean, how true it really is that she only thinks abt sleep and food anyway?? one of the reocurring things abt her is that she likes taking pictures to make memories for archons' sake! she makes all sorts of connections with every character we meet and sometimes has pretty good insights. she can clearly think about something else than sleeping and eating, with making memories being something she brings up often. there's clearly something else going on.
Yan! Melanta x Reader
CW: yandere themes, possessiveness, imprisonment, manipulation, memory loss, psychological control, violence, death, and body transformation.
Note: English is not my first language, so there may be some grammatical errors. Characterization may be slightly OOC.
You never thought that one day, you would be trapped in this hell with no way out...
There really is no way out...
And this man, over time, takes an interest in YOU.
I find this myth way too funny
Long Day in the Mountains/v6.5 spoiler below
TW: mentions of suicide below.
And yes I did speed run the quest. It was amazing.
PARDON ME??
Tamest unvoiced world quest
This was way too good a fight to be a one-time thing.
I didn’t get a screenshot of the memories sequence because I was too busy crying, sorry.
I also have a lot of thoughts on the themes of suicide, family, and purpose, but it’s 3am rn and I have class in the morning. I’ll make a longer post later.

Only through eternity are you closest to the Heavenly Principles -The dango milk fiend Stasis is seen as a true act of eternity. To be preservation. Evolution is forbidden. To stay in order and keep moving like machines or puppets. Puppets that are held by their respective creators. Though also those that had been abandoned or perceived abandoned by their creators. Puppets with their strings cut as their creator left them behind. Falling down to the mortals. Or trying to keep up their creators wishes or what they perceive as their wishes. Even though it leads you down a spiral of destruction and opposes what you wanted to preserve. What are the Watchers and the Ruler of space but another version to the Raiden Family and the puppets they created.
wait that is a great comparison! what is genshin impact lore but an elaborate game of trying to find all the variants of the watchers, truly
Not her telling a divine being to go seek therapy...😭 but yeah she's speaking from experience
I'm considering writing Melanta x Reader... Hmmm
