Believe it or not, this year is the TENTH ANNIVERSARY of the first Mass Effect Holiday Cheer ... and even cranky old Reapers know better than to dismiss a TEN-YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

So yes, there will be a Reaping. It will likely follow the same January Jubilation model as in recent years, so there's still a bit of time before I have to mobilize the forces OF EVIL of holiday cheer.

But the forces will certainly be mobilized.

@masseffectholidaycheer Look at this wonderful bag I got from my gifter @bronzeagelove! It came with a lovely letter, Paragade sticker and delicious chocolate (actually quite a bit more than in the photo up there, and I honestly intended to get it all in the picture, but in my defense it’s been a rough week and the chocolate is really good)

As someone who often gives hand made gifts but rarely gets them, I am absolutely thrilled with this gift and for now it has taken the place of honour on my crafting table until I find the perfect purpose (part of me is saying “perfect size for carry-around sock knitting”, another part is saying “must not let lovely bag get dirty”, so we’ll see)

Survey Resubmission Necessary

I signed up weeks ago but didn’t receive any assignment today - Should I resubmit my survey? Nothing’s in my email about confirmation or anything. (I’m not sure what you mean about notifications on…!)  Thanks Harbinger, you know this hurts me.

Posting this publicly to let everyone know that assignments WILL NOT GO OUT until Thursday/Friday. Ol’ Harby’s got a deadline to meet (species to paste, worlds to destroy, books to edit, you know how it goes) and won’t have time to so much as glance at things until then. 

(@spaced0lphin your survey is on the spreadsheet; no need to resubmit. We don’t send out sign-up confirmations. Maybe I’ll add that next year.) On the plus side, if anyone’s been on the fence about joining this year, you’ve still got a tiny bit of time to procrastinate. I’ll leave signups open until I actually sit down to work on the BLESSED SPREADSHEET. In the ultimate game of chicken (Reaper-style) will your participation triumph over your procrastination? Will you submit before the random hour when I slam my tentacle on the “close survey” button? Only time will tell!

This is your Holiday Harbinger giftee. Due to my own schoolboy error I got your username mixed up with someone else's, whose username and chosen ships are very similar, and I did art for the wrong person... I have since been made aware of this absolutely boneheaded move and been working on your gift.

As luck would have it, because it's always the way with these things, my PC is in the repair shop as of a day ago and it's not looking like it will be back in time.

So. I'm working on something else for you, but my options are limited without my PC. Rest assured though, you will receive your gift from me yet, whether or not you've applied for a pitch hitter!
