Mega Milotic:
Ability: Regenerator or maybe Shed Skin? (Drizzle no god)
Typing: Water/Psychic
Height: 21 ft
Description: This dangerous beauty mega evolves only when it cannot calm the most livid of beasts. It is driven to stop those who cause harm to others, at any cost.
Stats:
HP:95 Attack:60 Defense:120 Sp.Atk: 120 Sp.Def:145 Speed: 100
A concept for Mega Milotic. Ther’s a lot of Mega Milotics I like. There’s like a BUNCH of different abilities that would be good on it, so I wasn’t quite sure what to pick.
The opposing Milotic’s Mysterious Megastone is reacting to the Mega Ring! (x)
Mega Evolutions are mostly, but not exclusively, offensively-based, seeing how offensive presence is a major contributor behind Pokemon battles and gaining access to some of the most powerful Pokemon in the game, if only temporarily, is something that drives the today’s metagame. Mega Pokemon don’t compete on just a single level, but multiple levels, both with other Pokemon and among one another, seeing how only one Mega Evolution is possible during battle. With that in mind, any Mega Evolution has have enough merit to be considered for a team, no matter the role it has to play. And today I’m bringing you a concept of a defensive Mega Evolution that can pack quite a punch as well.
Since Generation III, Milotic was always seen as a defensive parallel to Gyarados, seeing how both are serpentine Water-type Pokemon who evolve from fish-like Pokemon. And now, while Gyarados is seeing as much use as ever, Milotic is slowly losing relevance in favor of Pokemon who can do its job better, either defensively or offensively, or both. Milotic deserves a Mega Evolution for more then just that reason though, as it’s a fan-favorite with quite a compelling, elegant design that doesn’t seem to age. So, first of all, let us tackle the stats. Below are proposed stats of my idea for Mega Milotic. Next to each stat you will find a number in parenthesis that indicates how much has the stat increased (or decreased) as a result of Mega Evolution.
HP:95 Attack:60 Defense:109 (+30) Sp. Atk:130 (+30) Sp. Def:145 (+20) Speed:101 (+20)
As seen above, with new and improved stats, Milotic looks like a majestic wall, being able to hold a lot in check with its 95/109/145 defenses. Count in Recover that Milotic commonly uses and you find that this can be one tough Pokemon to break. But let’s kick it up a notch, shall we? Since Mega Milotic seems like a perfect Pokemon for it, let’s add Fairy-type into the mix. As a Water/Fairy type, Mega Milotic would have six resistances and an immunity, while being weak to only three types. And if that wasn’t enough, we’re giving Mega Milotic the Regenerator ability, which heals it by 33.3% when it switches out. With all these defensive merits, one is sure to look at this majestic Pokemon with reverence deserving of such timeless design. And let’s not forget that unlike so many defensive Pokemon, Mega Milotic has a Special Attack stat of 130! That’s a Garchomp’s worth of Hydro Pump coming straight for your face! Now, lets’ see a few movesets down below.
Defensive
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Recover
- Dragon Tail/Toxic
A very straightforward and yet powerful moveset. Scald is there for STAB as well for the fact that it can potentially burn Pokemon who hope to prey on Mega Milotic’s weaker defensive stat. Recover paired with Regenerator allows Mega Milotic to have incredible staying power, making it truly difficult to remove. Finally, Dragon Tail can be used for phasing, while Toxic is for stalling. Use whichever better fits the needs of your team. However, either works quite well.
Offensive
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Ice Beam
- Recover
Don’t forget that 130 Special Attack! Hydro Pump sports incredible power, passable accuracy and is probably the hallmark of this set, especially if you can anyhow give Mega Milotic rain support. Moonblast would (logically) be given to Milotic in form of a new level-up move or an Egg move, seeing how it doesn’t learn it yet, and would be used as a solid secondary STAB option. Ice Beam is there for valuable coverage and Recover is a staple on all Milotic sets.
I hope you enjoyed this little idea about Milotic and if you’d like for me to do any other Pokemon, send me a message and I’ll gladly see what I can do. :)

Water/Dragon Mega Milotic though. It already learns 4 or 5 Dragon moves, while it doesn’t learn shit in terms of fairy type moves
Does it need to? Make a defensive Mega. Water/Fairy is one of the best defensive typings out there, if not the best. Just run her with Recover, maybe let her learn Moonblast if they want to be the best, and Scald. I don’t even care what the last move is, but it’s tech. Just do whatever.
Forever wanting mega milotic
