Assistant Genn teaches him about it.
Bo, excited, tells his mom he wants to go on an Adventure when 10.
"Bo, the weather is nice. Why don't you go play outside?"
"But, mom... don't you remember I broke my net last week?"
"I got you a new one. Go look on the kitchen table."
Bo ran to the kitchen and was happy to find a new net on the table. He took it instantly and ran out the front door, laughing. Last week, Bo broke his net trying to climb a tree to catch a beautiful Butterfree for his mom. He was really sad about it. And his mom, not liking to see her 4-year-old son unhappy, ordered a new and solid net for him. She really wondered what kind of Pokémon he might bring back home this time.
The weather really is nice today. The temperature is perfect, the sky is lightly covered and there were so many bug Pokemon in the forest near the village. Last time, Bo brought a Caterpie back home. His mother was so proud of him. He let it free again after playing together for a day.
Every time Bo goes out to find bug type Pokémon, he makes friends. He knows many of the Wurmples and Suwaddles of this patch of forest. But he is scared to go past the stream a bit further into the forest. People of the village tell there are many scary Pokémon out there, like Pinsirs and Beedrills. Bo does not like Pinsirs...
After a bit of walking on the side of the forest, he decides to squeak into the huge leaves. This would be a nice place to catch Pokémon. He immediately spots a huge Caterpie! His mom would be amazed if he brought this mega sized Pokémon home! So he gets close to it, reaches out with his net and... He gets distracted by something shining on the ground.
"What is this?" He approaches the shiny object and stretches his small arm to catch it. It's a pretty light purple colour. And when he turns it in the light, Bo can see some blue lines twisted around the purple lines. It's almost hypnotizing!
Bo gets out of the forest and looks a bit more into the stone, holding it up into the sunlight. Did someone lose it? Should he bring it to the police station? Or maybe the professor knows of this stone? Of course, the professor knows everything.
Bo runs trough the laboratory's door, ignoring all the assistants warnings about being cautious running trough the room.
"Bo! Be careful! Stay put! What are you even doing here?"
"I am looking for professor Sycamore. I found a weird stone and he would probably know about this, Assistant Genn."
Genn had been an assistant of this lab for a few months now. She knows a lot about professor Sycamore's works and researches. She looks young but is really a young genius. She could become a professor too.
"Professor Sycamore is very busy. He is not at the lab. He went on a field trip to learn more about fairy type Pokémon."
"Oh... that's just too bad." Bo seemed so disappointed. He lowers his head to look at his feet.
"Show me that stone. Maybe I can help you."
The boy reaches for the stone into his pocket and hands it over to Genn. She immediately recognizes the shape of a Mega Gem. And not any gem, this is a very special gem.
"Ooh, this is indeed a very interesting gem. Let me tell you about mega evolutions and a very rare Pokémon called Mewtwo." She takes Bo's little hand before taking him to a private meeting room to tell him everything.
Bo swings his little feet under the kitchen table. He smiles while going for a piece of tomato on his plate. He hums happily while chewing. Curious, his mom tilts her head.
"Why are you so happy, Dear?"
"I found a Mega Gem. Assistant Genn told me I could give it to this ultra rare mega legendary Pokémon called Mewtwo to make it Mega Evolve. So, I decided I wanted to be a trainer in the future to find that Pokémon."
He takes another bite from his meal and laughs.
"Oh really? You know you have to be 10 years old if you want to travel by yourself?"
"I know, mom. I am only four, but I will use the time I have to train and catch powerful Pokémon so I can catch Mewtwo!"
"Are you sure? It will be a tough trip. You will need to be prepared, Darling."
"I will! I am counting on your help, mom!"
I had fun writing my first short story. It has nothing to do with my self ship, it is not a romantic story, it is more of an innocent story of a small boy with a dream. Will he make it to the top and catch that ultra mega rare legendary Pokémon Mewtwo? Who knows...
Please let me know what you thought of this short story ~
