Built during the war as a way to collect civilian blood and transport it to the combatant machines in the battlefield along with supplies for repairs, these small compact units carry with themselves little amounts of defense, most being built with weak plastics instead of metal to optimize resource usage in the midst of the arms race, components that were once covered in nurse uniforms. The screen originally served as a way to communicate with other machines without the need for verbal speech, being able to display supply lists and instructions, however, during the peace voices were implemented for better patient interaction along with "friendlier" facial displays.
As a result of the constant repurposing and upgrading, its programming has deteriorated from peace sanitization protocols back to wartime survival tactics, scurrying in dark corners, upon being found it immediately engages in self destruction as an attempt to "heal" whatever is threatening, resulting in a radiant enemy.
Sometimes, wartime machines or scrapheads aware of its utility will keep a MedBot alive as emergency supplies, to which the MedBot will develop a symbiosis where they offer "medical" assistance in exchange of protection.
Strategy:
- A quick approach can act in your favor, letting it engage in "healing" you will result in an overheal.
- Due to its nimble frame, launching it in the air can safely separate it from any large hoards. If already latched into another machine, it can be immobilized with a nailgun magnet.
- Worrying about it getting close to any enemy that isn't a machine isn't necessary, as it will only approach other machines.
