Won't You Stay With Me?
Sadhbh Roisin - @knavestrolls Raindrops gently hit against the glass of Sadhbh’s hive. It’s been raining ever since her matesprite showed up, Dreary as it is, Sadhbh had something special she wanted to ask the Cuspblood woman she loved oh so much. She was leaning on the doorway to the kitchen, watching her matesprite meandering around, digging through cabinets and cupboards. Azamuk had INSISTED on her making a little dinner meal for the two of them. Granted, this was prompted by the fact Sadhbh… Tended to forget to eat and drink when she was FAR too hyper-focused on little projects and whatnot.
Sadhbh would be getting back to work right now, but she didn’t really want to hear “Sadhbh Roisin” in Azamuk’s adorable angry voice. So the Blueblood just stood there, watching her matesprite silently. She liked how Azamuk moved around her kitchen as if it was her own, seeming comfortable with going about doing little mundane tasks as if they were her own tasks. Azamuk brought a certain energy to her hive. An energy she liked.
And it’s one of the many reasons she wanted the Cuspblood to live with her. Azamuk paralleled her in many different ways, she opposed her in ways that were, by all means, beneficial for her health and well being. Having someone to poke and prod at her, make her remember to do the basics such as eating and drinking when not doing so for a long period of time, having someone to make sure she was okay, was a blessing of the highest degree. Azamuk didn’t judge her for these things either, even if she did look upset when she discovered Sadhbh hadn’t been caring for herself properly. Azamuk would just… Guide her in the right direction, giving her stern yet cute little looks that basically said “Do this for me, please?” Azamuk was everything to her. She needed her here. Forever.
Sadhbh was well aware of the neighborhood her matesprite currently resided in. Noisy, filled with chatter and some sour memories for her beloved. Sadhbh knew all of Azamuk’s neighbors purely because her matesprite would talk about them, but she didn’t care to really remember any of them [Well, except for one, but we don’t need to get into that hot mess]. All that mattered right now was the burning question in Sadhbh’s throat, her tongue slightly pressed against the roof of her mouth as she waited patiently. She didn’t want to disturb her love while she cooked a nice meal for the two of them.
Sadhbh breathed in the scent of whatever her beloved was making and felt her stomach growl. She’d barely eaten tonight, which is what prompted Azamuk to gently scold her then make food for the two of them. Now Sadhbh sat at her kitchen table, a rarity for her honestly. She sat across from her beloved, watching the Cuspblood plate two things of food. Fresh meat, some vegetables and what looked to be a nice, hivecooked stew. Sadhbh quietly ate while she let her matesprite go on and on about her neighbors, the neighborhood itself and whatever’s been going on with her life. This was the usual for them: Azamuk talked, Sadhbh listened. She took in every word her matesprite said, not wanting to miss a single thing. Sadhbh knew things about Azamuk that no one else, or at least to her knowledge, knew about her. Some personal stuff that Azamuk never really shared with anyone else.
And this made her special. Made her feel closer to her. She hated to interrupt her beloved, but the question in her throat was burning to come out. She needed to ask this, she NEEDED an answer. Sadhbh was always careful and calculated, planning out every little detail to the t. But this felt.. Like a spur of the moment kind of this, and despite it not really being that way, it just felt like it was. Sadhbh waited for a lull in conversation before speaking up.
“Azamuk. Do you mind if I ask you something?” The Cuspblood looked up at her matesprite, her brows raising curiously. She simply nodded, silently prompting the other Blueblood to continue. Sadhbh hummed before speaking again. “I just. Wanted to know something, my dear. I’ve had this question burning in the back of my throat for awhile now. And I feel as tho now is an appropriate time to ask this.” Sadhbh reached over and grabbed her lover’s hand, gently squeezing it. She felt a little nervous, unsure of what to expect.
“Dear, would you like to live with me? I know you’re unhappy in your neighborhood. How your neighbors annoy you. The unfortunate memories you’re stuck with. I feel as tho you’ll be happier here, happier with me. So... What do you say? Will you live with me?”
Azamuk sat there, gripping her lover’s hand silently. Sadhbh’s words took a couple moments to process. Live with her? Live with her Saddie? Azamuk felt a heat rush to her cheeks, coloring them a dark blue hue. Oh my... She never thought such a question would be asked, but in all honesty... She really DID want to live with Sadhbh. She hadn’t realized how long she was staring until Sadhbh made a noise, waving her hand in front of her face. This made Azamuk blush even harder, stuttering a bit as she spoke. “W-Well… Well Saddie dear! I uh... Wasn’t expecting something like this to come from you! Do you…” Her voice trailed off a little as she looked down, squeezing her lover’s hand a little tighter. “Do you mean it? You actually want me to move in with you?”
“Would I lie to you, dear?” Azamuk felt herself crumple a little at that question. No, Sadhbh would never lie to her. Which only made this situation even more serious. If Sadhbh was serious about this… Then Azamuk only had one answer for her. “Of course, Saddie. I’d love to live with you.”
