#meat lover's

I went back to TJ’s in Asbury Park for the first time since 2014 last year and it’s more or less the same. I guess this was considered a meat lover’s slice (pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom which isn’t meat but what else would I call this?) and it was decent. The plethora of toppings really helped this slice out and the crust was pretty good with a nice crisp to it. While this slice was nothing spectacular, it wasn’t bad by any means...except for the fact that it cost $3.50 and was on the small side. At least they still rep the Blueberry White Tea!

I had takeout from Toscana’s a while back and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this “Central” Jersey pizza. While the plain wasn’t anything special (not to mention a little small), it was still a solid slice. The meat lover’s was the winner here, as they really loaded up the toppings and they just blended together to make a great flavor. I definitely would like to try this spot fresh because I bet it’s great.

I haven’t been to Pomodoro in Morristown in over 5 years at this point and it feels like I never left. The chicken bacon ranch/meat lover’s hybrid is just as good as it was in 2015 and the other slice was a newcomer for me. It was called a chili chicken slice, but the “chili” was actually Thai chili sauce. I was told it was like general tso’s on pizza, but it wasn’t. It was like....Thai chili on pizza.....either way it was a very enjoyable slice and I still recommend both! Definitely the spot to stop in Morristown in my opinion, especially since they are open ‘til 11 at night.
