My Millennium Testimonial

here’s a certain aspect of magic that’s captured between Millennium’s red walls that you can’t quite find anywhere else. I remember the impression that Millennium left my very first time dancing there and the impression that remains with me now, both of which can be captured with the same three magic words: challenging, inspiring, and accountability.
Millennium Salt Lake City Dance Complex challenges. The choreographers at Millennium push their dancers to be their very best, exceeding past generic corrections but instead tailoring each remark to a dancer so the most growth is guaranteed. Millennium’s choreographers challenge their students in a sincere way and I can say with full honesty, because of this, I have never left a class feeling empty or unsatisfied. Millennium has taught me about the beauty of challenges, embracing them instead of disregarding them.
Millennium Salt Lake City Dance Complex inspires. To reemphasize, I have never left a class feeling empty but rather feeling full. Truly, Millennium is magic in that regard. The choreographers, as well as the dancers, truly care about their art form and this is so incredibly obvious. Being surrounded by fellow artists who have complete intend to pursue their passion only fuels others around them to do the same. At Millennium, it’s not just steps or a “six-seven-eight,” it’s the art itself; it’s why and how you’re doing the steps instead of just simply moving your body with no true meaning.
Above all, Millennium has taught me about accountability. Millennium offers one of the most unique dance experiences but it’s only there if you reach for it. At the end of the day, it’s all you. It’s whether or not you decide to go to classes, to take advantage of the amazing program, and better yourself. Self accountability is heavily emphasized at Millennium and, because of this, I have grown faster than as a dancer than I ever would have.
I had the privilege of training with Millennium’s Performing Academy 2016-2017. My experience with this company allowed me become a goal-oriented dancer, extend my training, and grow as an artist. I can not extend my gratitude to all at Millennium who continue to push me to be my best self. If you’re searching for growth as a dancer, the magic is between the red walls.
