This is about my Marvel Self Insert/Oc/Sona there’s a generic description of her lore on my acc if you’d like to see more of her
So the way Elle’s trauma works surrounding Endgame and Tony Stark’s death is the fact that she doesn’t really deal with it.
Such as processing how traumatic the entire experience is, the toll on her psyche etc.
instead she takes all of that hurt, and pain surrounding Tony, and trauma and chucks it all at Steve
Because unlike Tony, Steve CHOSE to leave
Picture Elle, in her early 20’s her ex boyfriend (Peter Parker) who literally died five years ago in her arms is back from the dead. In fact most of her team mates who died five years ago are back. Her dad literally dies in front of her and said ex bf the funeral for her dead dad ended literally minutes ago and her current boyfriend LEAVES HER
Because for her Steve had every single chance to make any different decision other than straight up abandoning her he at any time could have ended their relationship or spoken to her about Peggy and how he can’t get over her could have came back to her but he didn’t
He abandoned her for a woman whose legacy she knows she can never live up to in his eyes
And when he leaves THAT is what shatters Elle
And before this she thought their relationship was GREAT like no problems she was beginning to hint at a more serious/settled down relationship
Listening to the song Gives You Hell reminds me of these two, both a ghost in each other’s story.
I can only imagine the scene when he comes back in doomsday. I might be getting my timelines mistaken but I think doomsday takes place around 10yrs after the ending of endgame so Elle has moved on (finally). There’s been a lifetime between those incidents shes a thunderbolt now. Living in the Avengers/z tower again. Happily dating Walker and none other than Stephen Grant Rodger’s walks in and she’s frozen.
Walker would be internally screaming Bucky would actually be screaming
Considering that her and Peter Quill both dealt with similar situations and are good friends with shared trauma if he’s there when this scene goes down he’s going to hold Elle back. The scene wouldn’t be pretty. It’d most likley take her right back to that moment.

I have this silly little head cannon that once Walker and Elle start (seriously) dating that he gets a tattoo for her. I picture a black flower tattoo that starts under his right ear around his neck and spirals down until the elbow. It might be a little ooc of him (Ive never been one to write IN character in the first place). And the tattoo placement might be janky buuut I just like the idea of the tattoo showing even when Walker’s fully covered or in uniform.
