#mbmbam scripts

We can’t begin to properly thank all of the volunteers and supporters of this project. This was a true labor of love, and for me personally, a reminder of the inherent goodness and generosity of people. I will literally never forget how folks came together to get this project off the ground, and how much we all accomplished together (105 transcripts, many more partway done, and so much awareness about accessibility spread). Thank you!!

The transcripts that have already been made won’t be going anywhere. You can still find all of them here, or by clicking on “Transcripts” on the main blog. And this blog will stick around at least until the transcripts are all up on the McElroys’ end.

Again, thank you. The world is a little bit more accessible than it was and that’s thanks to all of you.

What can we do to help, esp if we're HOH/Deaf/deaf/etc and can't help with transcripts?

Just a reminder that all the completed MBMBAM transcripts can be found here! Thank you so much to all our incredible volunteers who have made 70+ episodes accessible at this point!

If you want to help us transcribe every episode of MBMBAM, check out the Master Tracking document for all the info.

If you haven’t heard, we’re over here trying to transcribe every episode of My Brother, My Brother and Me to make the podcast more accessible. You can jump in at any time, transcribe any episode you want, and keep track of the progress when you’re finished so that someone else can jump in. (This is our Master Tracking doc, which has all the details.)

If you don’t have the time or ability to transcribe yourself, we’re also looking for proofreaders! Basically, people to go through the episode and correct any mistakes and make sure things are formatted according to our Formatting Guide.

So if editing is more your speed, you can see the list of episodes that need to be checked here. There’s currently 13 episodes waiting to be finished.

Griffin: Justin, you got real quiet. Are you okay?

Justin: I just… sometimes it gets… [sighs]

Travis: Is it too real?

Justin: The walls you try to put up for yourself, you think that they’re to keep...the person I know as Justin inside, but it turns out the walls have been there to keep all this out the whole time, you know?

Griffin: Because maybe, just maybe –  it’s your thing?

Justin: It’s gotta be somebody’s thing. What if it’s my thing? Like, how much of me guarding myself...maybe some of my social anxiety can be traced back to the fact that I’m constantly worried I’m gonna be like, “woof! Let’s fuck!”

Griffin: We can’t let those fears control where we go on this show, you know? We have to have this agreement: no limits, no restraints, take this pill, let’s go down this sexual oubliette together – 

Travis: Some restraints, but only if they’re extreme.

Griffin: Yeah...we have to figure – we gotta – this show is a sexual spirit journey. In more ways than one. And when we start pulling back a little bit, when we start holding back the reins...

Travis: Do you remember three years ago when we sat down and we started discussing doing this show, and we said, “We’re gonna do this show for one reason and one reason alone.”

Griffin: Mmhmm.

Travis: “To learn about ourselves sexually.”

Griffin: Mmhmm!

[Justin bursts into laughter]

Justin: Come! My Brother, My Brother and Me – come listen to three brothers discover themselves sexually!

I'm bad at Twitter and hardly ever check it, but casually checked @mbmbamscripts account today and......OH OKAY NO BIG DEAL ummm don't mind the panic attack I'm having?????? fgsfjdhfnlfln

A little update: I’ve moved the list of completed transcripts over to a Google doc, rather than a page here on tumblr because maintaining the page was getting untenable. Also, this way it’s accessible for mobile users.
