Dear Annelie!

It is slowly getting to be that time that I finally answer your letter. Before anything else, many thanks for that. So you've landed in Magdeburg. Have you been there many times before, or is this the first time? Are you already returned home, or are you still on the move? You really had bad luck there when you missed your train. Please don't be angry with me for not coming with you to the station, but I told you already that I don't like going away. They took nothing? That's good then.

Oh my dear Annelie, last time you asked me if I wished for anything, and I didn't, until today. Get hold of a roll-top trolley for me. Annelie, that lies close to my heart, and nothing else. Dear Annelie! You are well known and can surely do it.

Write to me and let me know how and what is required. That's enough for today, I'm going back to the boat. So get to it, as there's nothing I can do here.
