1x01 Max McLaughlin: Nightmare, rough awakening, hit in the back of the head, falls, bleeding head wound, threatened with bomb. Under gunpoint. Moritz McLaughlin: None

1x02 Max McLaughlin: None. Moritz McLaughlin: Beats up woman.

1x03 Max McLaughlin: Shocked, emotional. Moritz McLaughlin: Tortures woman.

1x04 Max McLaughlin: Brief bar fight. Hit in the back of the head, falls to the ground, unconscious. Kidnapped, tied to chair, under gunpoint, interrogated, threatened, bleeding head wound. Moritz McLaughlin: Continues torturing woman.

1x05 Max McLaughlin: Bruises from previous episode, Moritz McLaughlin: Stabbed, bleeding.

1x06 Max McLaughlin: Argues with brother, attacked, fight, strangled, kicked, knocked out, unconscious. Bleeding head wound, dizzy. Painful flashback of his mom and dad dying, crying. Moritz McLaughlin: Attacks his brother, hit multiple times, grunting in pain.

1x07 Max McLaughlin: Argues with his brother, bottle thrown at him, explosion blast, grunting, under gunfire. Moritz McLaughlin: None.

1x08 Max McLaughlin: Attacks guards, short fight, shot at/under gunfire, shoots brother, emotional. Moritz McLaughlin: shot, heavy bleeding, in pain, weak.

This was very enlightening on how ruined Germany was after the war. It had some good whumpy scenes that I can recommend, plus its been renewed for a second season!!

“When I was nine my brother took a bullet that was meant for me. I should be dead. He was fifteen years old. He saved my life. The shooter was our father.” 

“When I think about the themes in Shadowplay, I think the best of the story with our main characters is Claire and Elsie, played by Tuppence Middleton and Nina Hoss. The creator deserves praise for such a great character creation.”
