Instagram Stories by Amos Heller, Max Bernstein, Colbie Caillat, Jeslyn, and Jack Antonoff (April 3rd 2021)
Caitlin Evanson and Max Bernstein share some of the Love Story musician credits (February 12th 2021)
Melanie Nyema: When I say I love this woman, I don’t think that does the truth even the remotest justice. When I say this record is the stunningly evocative, gorgeously transportive, conceptually brilliant, aurally satisfying, lyrically astonishing, powerfully feminist piece of art I absolutely NEEDED today - I still think my description falls short. If anyone needs me for a while, I’ll just be over here in my headphones.
Amos Heller: I had the first of many listens last night. Late, with my love next to me, in a still room with low light. I love that this is a still room, low light piece. It’s moody, layered and quietly brazen. And it feels like being next to someone you love and are still getting to know after all this time. It’s beautiful.
David Cook: It’s so good. Congrats to Tay and everyone in involved, this was an unbelievable creative and technical effort during a particular point in our lives where it’s never been more difficult to do so. And it’s *such* a beautiful record.
Kamilah Marshall: My FAVORITE to date. Your STORYTELLING is like NONE OTHER. This RECORD is HAUNTINGLY, POWERFULLY, SADLY, WISTFULLY, PRETTY with an UNDERTONE and/or OVERTONE of makes me HAPPY. My FAVORITE to date. I LOVE it and I LOVE you friend. CONGRATULATIONS! #folklore #taylorswift #ts8
Max Bernstein: 1) it is very, very good 2) repeated listens feel very different from one another in a way music doesn’t usually. Like when you read a book multiple times and get spooked because a line appears that you swear wasn’t in it before. I know it’s hasty to say that after three listens but I felt that over and over. 3) we needed a surprise
Matt Billingslea: I’ve listened through a couple of times... mesmerized by the vibe, beauty, and stark rhymes. Another unique glimpse into this writers soul... A collection of precious songs and pure gold. Thanks for the unending inspiration @taylorswift ... this record is beautiful!
Eliotte Nicole: @taylorswift I’ve always been in awe of the way you see the world. You have this ability to read a room, a person, a moment and find every unspoken truth. Every glance, pause, and gesture has textured meaning that only you can uncover. The poetic, hazy, romantic, heartbreaking, and intentional storytelling in #folklore is beautifully haunting. It’s like a dream you don’t want to wake up from because you want to know what happens next, but then you realize that the characters were a part of you the whole time and you know exactly what will happen next. I am drunk with the storylines and melodies. Thank you for creating this work of art. I am continually blown away by your talent. #folklore is a glimpse into how you observe the world around you. The messy and beautiful facets of life. I am so grateful to you and all those who had a hand in creating this gem in these tough days. Congratulations on this masterpiece. Love you, T!
Jeslyn: STORYTELLING at its finest. Wow. You continue to surprise me with the level of imagery and eloquence in your writing. How you see the world, people, and your experiences is just so mysteriously magical. Thank you for gifting us with this collection of canvases you’ve painted all over to create this lyrical masterpiece of an album that we didn’t know we needed... that I didn’t know I needed. #OnRepeat Endlessly proud. Congratulations! Love you T.
