Rand and Mat
As I already said on TikTok, despite the incredibly romantic song, the video doesn't necessarily sound like a ship. The idea is to explore the difficult relationship between Mat and Rand (with Perrin as a special guest) and Mat's difficult realization that the Rand he's known all his life is gone, leaving only the Dragon. The scene is inspired by the scene in the fifth (or was it the fourth) book where Mat calls out to Rand several times, but Rand only turns around when he addresses him as Lews. That said, I find their entire dynamic in the first five books very interesting. Rand doesn't abandon Mat when he's crazy about the dagger, while as soon as Mat discovers Rand's magical abilities (and the knowledge that one day he'll go mad), he decides he wants nothing more to do with him, only to be betrayed by Rand's disappearance. He also does this in the fifth book when he announces to Rand that he's leaving and is saddened that Rand doesn't want to stop him (despite repeating his desire to leave in the books). And then they were in Rhuidian together.
