Really been working on living in the moment and appreciating the beauty of each day, rather than worrying so much about the next day or rest of the week. It’s something I’ve always struggled with, so I’ve been taking time to just sit outside and relax. I allow myself to work on things while I’m out there but being outside helps so much. I don’t know about you, but staying inside all day makes the day seem to disappear when all of a sudden you look outside and the sun is setting. I’ve also been thinking about Matthew 6:34 a lot too. “𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸, 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧. 𝘌𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘪𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘸𝘯.” Honestly, I’ve never liked this verse. I always think, there’s no way I can’t worry about the future, I have to plan everything and what if my plans don’t work out? But recently I was reminded that overall, my plans don’t really matter. God’s got a big plan that’s gonna happen whether I like it or not, so honestly there’s no point in worrying so much. This is your reminder to go sit on the porch with your coffee or tea and just take it all in for a few minutes, to take 5 minutes and cuddle with your kids as they fall asleep, to have a conversation with your significant other. Take as much time as you can to stop and appreciate this day, and get as much out of today as you can.
