Pairing: Matt Bragg x Reader

Prompt: “I don’t like that this is going to be our first holiday together and we’re spending it apart.”

“And go!” you told your boyfriend, leaning back into the couch as he hit play on one of your favorite Christmas movies. You adjusted your screen so your boyfriend’s face filled more of your laptop than the movie. Your heart gave a little pang as you wished he was beside you cuddling you close instead of miles away.

“What is it?” Matt asked, pausing the movie before even getting to the title screen.

You felt the burn of tears as you saw how concerned he looked and you turned away so he couldn’t see as they threatened to spill over.

“Hey,” his voice much more serious, “Is this about Christmas?”

You looked back and instantly wanted to cry even more at seeing Matt’s heartbroken face looking back at you.

“I know it’s rough but just think we get through this and next year we’ll be together. Our own apartment. You’ll be down here in Texas where I can kiss you and hug and watch you fall asleep halfway through every movie,” Matt went on.

“Hey!” you sat up a little straight and wiped away a few tears, “I’m an hour ahead of you and you get home late. It’s a wonder I’m ever up at all.”

“How about an early present?” Matt smiled.

“Before Christmas?” you mock gasped.

“Shut up, dork. Um, I think it’s the gift with the green paper,” Matt instructed and you got up and brought back a crudely wrapped box and showed it to Matt. “That’d be the one.”

You playfully shook it, “A puppy?”

“Maybe. You’d know if you’d just open it,” Matt pointed out.

“True,” you tore off the paper and opened up the box and you were greeted with a large jar stuffed with paper. “What is this?”

“It was Alfredo and Trevor’s idea but it’s a jar filled with notes from me so whenever you need a smile or miss me you pull one out and read it,” Matt explained.

“Aww,” you clutched a hand over your heart before opening the jar and pulling out a note. You read it out loud, “I love you. Babe, I love you too.”

Matt was grinning from ear to ear, though his smile faltered as you went for another one, “What are you doing?”

“I miss you extra so I get an extra,” you paused as you read the note, “Matt, this just says ‘I love you so much’. Do they all just say I love you?”

He gave a nervous chuckle, “Kind of.”

You sighed but a smile tugged at your lips, “It’s strangely completely you. I love it.”

“Merry Christmas,” Matt flashed you another smile.

Dating the stream team would include:

Everyone arguing who loves who more, constantly, all the time

Snuggle piles, cuddle piles, love piles, just a tangle of limbs all the time

Even after Trevor put a ban on them there is almost always a nightly pillow fight or tickle fight

Climbing on top of Jeremy so the two of you could fight Matt or Trevor

Having streaming competitions, loser does shots, the three of you loving to get Matt to do shots
