You saw Ryan’s jaw clench as you could hear the faint sound of carolers down the road. You grabbed his hand and for a brief moment, you could see him relax as he turned to look at you. He didn’t say anything as you turned and crossed the street.
“Remind me why I can’t kill the carolers?” he finally said as you two were halfway down the block.
“Because as fun as it is to break you out of jail and watch the police squirm as we do so, let’s save it for a more fun crime like a bank job,” you said nonchalantly as you squeezed his hand.
He still didn’t look pleased, “Fine but the real crime is them inviting themselves over to random houses and singing off key.”
“Well, lucky for you we live in a penthouse and the only caroling we might get is from Jeremy at three in the morning drunk off his ass,” you pointed out.
That caused him to finally crack a smile and lean over and kiss the top of your head, “The only acceptable form of caroling.”

An; Long time no see. I’ve just finished my ACT and my homework reduced, so I was finally able to finish this after a long time of not doing so. I hope you enjoyed this.
Prompt- “I’m not a prize to be won.”
AU-Soulmate, Royalty
Pairing- Ryan x Y/N x Mica
Word Count-2042
Warnings-Mentions of passing out, sickness, arguments, polyamory, some swears
Summary-A person has their soulmate’s initial written on their wrist; normally it’s only one. Y/N has two- Queen Mica, and King Ryan of two different kingdoms. One party brings all three of them together and the other two want to fight for Y/N’s love.
Soulmates were common in today's society, but what was truly uncommon was to have more than one. Ever since I was little I could remember the two little letters on my wrists, an M and a J on one of my wrists. My left had the M and my right had the J. They were small, black letters that were the handwriting of the person it held. When the two people came into contact with each other, often times it's a dull ache in your wrist that appeared while the tattoo glowed for a few seconds. It's been said to increase the pain if there's more than one person that's destined to be your soulmate, and there's even been someone who's had three soulmates that almost died from the pain when they met. Over time, it'll go from your wrist to your chest, creating a warm and fuzzy feeling.
Finding the M wasn't very hard considering I lived in Ellwood Kingdom. My parents were high in the nobility chain enough for me to meet the royal family. From there at the age of five, I met Princess Mica, who was my left hand's letter. She and I became inseparable through the years. We both watched each other grow up. I've had to protect her as the princess' partner and she protected me from any bullies.
I could remember during school that I'd get bullied because of my two soulmates. For one, I haven't found my R, which by the time we were teens, most people already did. Another is that I had two in the first place, which isn't common at all in our kingdom. I could recall the taunting that I'd received.
"Where's your other one, huh, Y/N?"
"Why should our princess be destined to be with such a slut?"
Tears would well in my eyes as I tried to ignore them. Mica, being Mica, tried her hardest to not have a breakdown and fight someone. After all, upholding the Burton name is just as important to her as keeping me from harm.
Later years, I'd watch as her parents stepped down from the throne, accepting that Mica was mature enough to lead the kingdom into prosperity like her parents did, with my help of course. Because of this, I rose up in the noble ranks into Princess of Ellwood, the first princess that was in a relationship with a Queen publicly. I guided Mica through the first successful year of establishing her monarchy.
Because of the prosperous year in the kingdom, Mica decided to throw a week-long celebration. Many commoners were given some form of a gift, provided by the profits we had. Small things like money, clothing, free land and others were given to the people who helped grow our kingdom. For the nobility, a ball is thrown on the last night. We were able to invite our allies' royalty to ensure our relationships will stay strong. Plus, it would be the first time we'd formally meet them all as the new heads of the kingdom.
Dressed in one of the most pretty dresses I've witnessed in my life, I walked down the hall towards Mica's bedroom. I swallowed before knocking my usual knocks, three sharp knocks then another after a pause.
A faint "Come in" can be heard through the door. I opened it to reveal an elegantly dressed Mica, fitted with her crown and my necklace that I gave to her during her coronation. The violet dress she adorned fit her nicely, and paired well with my turquoise one, the two colors of the Ellwood Kingdom.
I locked eyes with her, taking in her features as the warm feeling in my chest grew as I stepped closer. She smiled softly, letting her true personality start to come out.
She spoke first, "You look absolutely breathtaking."
I rolled my eyes, "You always say that."
Mica protested, "But you do!"
She pressed a soft kiss to my lips before adding, "You're so cute that I don't want everyone to see you."
I raised an eyebrow at her, and she pouted before stopping. I glanced at the clock, which read 8:55 PM. Sighing I motioned for the door.
"We should go greet our guests."
She pouted again but after a playful glare from me, she complied. Straightening her composure, she gave an aura of complete confidence, as if she knew that she can slay everyone around her. I knew that although she acted like this, she was a complete nerd behind closed doors.
Guests were welcomed by guards as we watched on the balcony. Mica and I made small talk about the guests, me mostly reminding her who was who in relation to us and to remind her about important events during the ball.
Towards the beginning of the next hour, I felt my right wrist tingle, almost as if my hand fell asleep. This hasn't happened since I met Mica, so I was off-put in my train of thought as I explained that the Hullums would be arriving tonight with their children and we need to set up a meeting with King Matt and Queen Anna to discuss our future trade with their kingdom.
One of our informants told us, "Your Majesty, the new king of Achievement City has arrived. He requested to personally greet the both of you once you're finished making your beginning speech."
Mica nodded her head, "That's fine, inform him that we'll do so once the party is in full swing."
I agreed before telling her that her speech should start within the next couple of minutes or so. She smiled thankfully at me and readied herself. Mica gave a nice welcome speech to all of the guests. I let my eyes scan the crowd in hopes of seeing this King Ryan. I've heard from some chamber maids that he was attractive, and he still hadn't found his soulmate yet.
Although I knew that he couldn't possibly be my soulmate due to his name being different from my initial on my hand, I was curious as to whether the rumors were true. They say that his eyes are as clear and blue as the ocean, and he had the most charming smile. His laugh and voice were deep, but it filled the room if the situation was right.
Mica eloquently ended and the crowd clapped for the host before the music started. We were led by our most trusted guard down the stairs to greet everyone personally. Mica was to my left like always and we had many eyes on us as we descended the stairs.
We greeted our most trusted allies, the Hullums. They were to the west of us, and therefore one of the people who have been a vital part of our economy.
Through the curt but welcoming conversations, as we walked our way through the crowd, I felt my wrist start to increase in the pain. Mica looked at me, concerned, as I blinked rapidly a few times as I tried to keep my vision clear. My head started to ache badly and I had a feeling like I was getting a little bit dizzy.
I locked eyes with her, and she raised an eyebrow as if to ask if I was okay. I put on a smile and nodded my head to the conversation. I knew she was skeptical but we were almost done with everyone.
The last person to be greeted was King Ryan, who was the person requesting Mica earlier. As we neared him, I felt like I had to ground myself with every step I took. My vision blurred when we were a couple feet away, making me blink rapidly.
King Ryan greeted Mica, "Queen Mica, it's wonderful to finally make your acquaintance in person."
Mica responded, "Yes, King Ryan. It is. I hope this party suits you. My workers will tailor to your every wish, just make sure to let one of my advisors know. They are dressed in turquoise, just like my head advisor, Y/N."
Mica gestured to me, and I politely bowed my head to King Ryan. I felt my body heat up as we locked eyes, and I could tell that I was blushing. He truly was handsome.
Ryan responded, "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, miss. I'll be sure to tell you any problems I may have, but I'm sure it won't be needed."
I nodded my head and politely tried to get out of the conversation so I can lay down, "If you have anything, I'll be sure to correct any mistakes we have made. If you'll excuse me, I'll head to my room so I can lay down."
They nodded their heads, confusion and worry filling Mica's face. I touched her hand as I passed, trying to reassure her that I'm okay. As I passed the both of them, Ryan stepped closer to us and I accidentally brushed my hand against King Ryan's while I held Mica's briefly. The last thing I remembered was darkness.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"She can't move to your kingdom, King Ryan. She's my head advisor, and my girlfriend."
"Well she's my soulmate and my kingdom can't stand not having a queen."
"She's my soulmate too, dumbass."
The sound of arguments woke me up, the feeling of my headache was still dull, but I can function without much trouble. I blinked my eyes, letting my vision clear as I sat up.
Mica sighed, "Y/N is the only person I trust. Do you think I'm willing to give her up?"
Ryan thought, "Why don't we have a duel. I've heard that you're quite the swordsman, as am I."
Mica agreed, "I'd love to see you lose, Haywood."
They shook hands.
Mica told him, "Whoever wins, wins Y/N fair and square."
Ryan nodded his head before I pointed out, "I'm not a prize to be won."
The both of them whipped their heads towards me, surprise written on their faces. I stared at them, incredulous that they would even think about fighting over me.
Mica responded, "I know, but we can't agree on anything. It's our best option."
I questioned, "To be violent? To possibly kill someone?"
Ryan said, "Well, what do you think?"
I thought, "Well, If none of you wants to trade off when I see each of you, then how about we merge kingdoms? It would bring peace to our nations and our resources and economy will help each other."
Mica sighed, "I can't believe you'd be willing to be with our enemies."
I argued, "It's our best option, and their leader is my soulmate."
Mica walked closer to me, sitting on the edge of the bed to face me.
She whispered, "I can't bear to see you with him. It feels like you're going to leave me."
I smiled softly, "Does it look like I'm going to leave you? I want both of you to be happy."
She agreed after the small conversation, "I'll agree to the terms as long as you do, King Ryan."
Ryan nodded his head, "Of course, we can finish the discussion when Y/N has had enough rest to regain her health."
I watched as they left the room, leaving me alone to sleep and get better. It took a couple days before I didn't have any symptoms that I had before, and we were able to discuss the merging of our two kingdoms.
During that time, I fell in love with King Ryan even more. He was eloquent when he spoke and he held the perfect image of a king around others, but with me he became a total dork, throwing loving words my way and always tried to make me laugh. Mica, on the other hand, accepted that I now had two people that I loved and couldn't help but become friends with Ryan.
Soon, the two kingdoms emerged after celebrating. The coronation between the royalty was the last thing to do. Surprisingly, King Ryan and Queen Mica were not only the royalty, but I was as well, dubbed, Queen Y/N. There has never been more than a queen and king, but through my two soulmates, our names will forever be etched in history.
“Hellooo,” you called into the office. Trevor had left a little less than an hour ago, the last one out of the office but you still wanted to be sure.
You dropped the box of decorations and hooked up your phone up to the bluetooth speaker and instantly put on your Christmas playlist.
You started humming as you began to hang up some garland. It wasn’t long before the office was gleaming and you were belting out songs.
Your favorite song came on so you paused the decorating and took a minute to actually dance around. You knew your singing was very off key and you were so thankful to be alone.
At least you thought you were until the song ended and you heard a slow clap behind you. You shrieked in surprise and spun around to see Michael standing there smirking.
“I’m so sorry. I thought I was alone,” you clutched your chest.
Michael snickered and you could feel yourself blushing, “Clearly. Me and Gavin were trying to sneak in some Play Pals.”
“Oh,” was all you said running over to your phone to pause the music. “I’m so sorry. Trevor said everyone was gone for the day. I wanted to surprise everyone with some decorations.”
Michael’s smile became more genuine, “You actually killed it. Very festive. And we were going to go home but Gavin and I really wanted to finish our game so we came back after grabbing a bite.”
“I’ll keep the music down and my awful singing to a minimum,” you told him, turning the speaker down before turning the music on again.
Michael didn’t leave though, in fact, he moved into the room letting the door shut behind him, “It’s way better than Gavin’s singing though he doesn’t know half the songs and he certainly isn’t as cute.”
That caused you to blush and turn your attention back to the box of decorations. Michael slid up next to you, “I never knew you were so into Christmas.”
You tucked some hair behind your ear before bravely looking over at Michael, “It’s my favorite holiday. Plus I like spreading some holiday joy.”
“If I knew you liked Christmas I would have used that to my advantage before,” Michael crossed his arms and gave you a cheeky smile.
“Oh, how so?” you gave him your attention, willing yourself not to blush again.
He put an arm around you and pulled you in close, “I would have invited you to watch Christmas movies at my place and I can make you some hot cocoa.”
You bit back a smile and bravely replied, “You still can.”
Michael chuckled, “Alright then, my place it is. Say after we’re both done in an hour-ish. And don’t even tell me it’s late. Tomorrow’s Saturday and we can both sleep in.”
It was your turn to laugh, “Fair enough. You got a deal.”
Michael gave you a proud smile and turned the speaker up just a little as you gave him a curious look, “Loud enough I can hear you but quiet enough the mics won’t pick you up. I like your, as you put it, ‘awful singing’.”
“Hey, Babe! Can you come here!”
You sighed setting down the dish you finished scrubbing on the drying rack. You were sure whatever Trevor was calling you for was complete nonsense but you still smiled as you called back, “Coming!”
You walked out of the kitchen and towards the bedroom where you could already here crinkling of paper and your boyfriend’s giggle.
You burst out laughing as soon as you saw him. He was covered head to toe in wrapping paper, complete with the bow on top of his head.
“How did you even manage to do this?” You asked, crouching down beside him.
Luckily, he was smart enough not to wrap his face, “A little skill and a lot of rolling around in tape.”
“You’re such a dork,” you kneeled down beside him before leaning down to kiss him. You laughed against his lips as you heard the wrapping paper rip so he could free his arms and wrap them around you. He pulled you down so you were chest to chest. You spent a good few minutes on the floor making out. Both of you giggling any time the paper crinkled.
You had most of the paper off by the time the two of you were done. You were about to start working on his shirt when the timer for the oven went off.
“Leave it,” Trevor mumbled, his and sliding up your shirt.
You groaned, “As much as I would love that, I really don’t want the firefighters who would come try to save the kitchen walking in on me naked.”
“I don’t mind as long as I’m naked too,” Trevor have you a cheeky grin and you slapped him playfully.
“Ow,” he laughed rubbing his shoulder as you got off of him.
You rushed to the kitchen to pull the dinner out of the oven.
As soon as it was safe and cooling, Trevor rushed in and scooped you up so he could set you on the counter and he could kiss you. You laughed and returned the kiss, “Okay but only until dinner is cooled off. I worked hard on it.”
“Deal,” Trevor mumbled against your lips.
You pulled back for a minute and held Trevor’s face in your hands.
“What?” he chuckled as you admired him.
“Just,” you let out a happy sigh, “I’m so lucky.”
Trevor’s smile grew, “I’m the lucky one. You’re the one that said yes when I asked you out.”
“I was lucky you asked me out,” you grinned, trying to one up him.
“I was lucky when you said yes again,” Trevor gave you a sly look.
“Yes again? Yes to what?” you gave him a confused look.
Trevor let go of you for a second to rifle through his pocket, “I was going to wait until Christmas but right now seems like the perfect time.” You watched curiously as Trevor finally pulled something out of his pocket. He opened the box and you gasped upon seeing the ring.”
“Will you marry me?”
“Of course!” you shouted, tackling him in a hug, nearly falling off the counter in the process.
82 "My back's a bit sore from when you stabbed me with the knife" with Ryan? xx
You sat down in your seat next to Ryan and as you booted up your game you turned to Ryan and pulled yourself closer to him so no one else could hear, not that anyone was paying attention since they were playing with a moonball.
“How’s about a little us against everyone? I have your back, you have mine?” you possibly batted your eyelashes a little as Ryan looked over at you.
You could see Ryan take a second to compose himself before he smoothly said, “My back's a bit sore from when you stabbed me with the knife last time.”
You pouted a little, “We both know when it came down to just me, you, and Alfredo. Either one of us could have taken Alfredo so don’t tell me you weren’t thinking the same thing. I was just faster.”
You could see Ryan smirk a little, “I still can’t trust you but let’s say if you win again... I’ll buy you dinner.”
You flashed him a brilliant smile, “You’re on.”
“If you two are done flirting, we have a game to play!” Geoff called.
Ryan’s cool composure broke upon being called out. You just laughed and patted his leg before rolling back to your desk, “Let’s do this, motherfuckers!”
You gave Jeremy a shy smile as you both came up to the Achievement Hunter Christmas tree to hang ornaments. Jeremy waggled his eyebrows at you and held up a Garbo decoration a fan had sent in.
You giggled, “Why am I not surprised?” You leaned in a little closer, “That’s actually really well made.”
“A popular choice for fan made ornaments but this is one of the nicer ones. Hey, did you see yours yet?” Jeremy asked placing the decor on the tree and turning back to his pile.
“My what?” He gave him a confused look as you placed your ornament.
Jeremy shuffled around in the pile beside him before turning and handing you a small ornament. It took you a moment to see what it was but you gasped as you realized it was your GTA character that you occasionally played in videos. It wasn’t the best made piece ever sent in but it was the first one you had gotten of your character. You hugged the ornament to your chest.
“Can I see yours?” you asked.
Jeremy smiled knowingly, “I don’t have one. None of us do, at least not by that fan. The card is really sweet too.” Jeremy passed over a handmade Christmas card.
You took it carefully, reading over the kind words of a fan who mentioned how much they loved seeing you on camera and would love to see you more. You tucked the card away and made a mental note to write back. You hung your ornament up and stepped back looking at the finished tree.
“All it needs is the star,” Michael smirked, nodding at your handy work. You held out your hand but Michael shook his head, “No. This honor is all Jeremy’s.” He passed the tree topper over.
Jeremy just shrugged and went to reach for a chair. That was until Gavin pulled out his phone and challenged him, “Bet you can’t get it on top without climbing on anything.
“Oh. Ho. You’re on,” Jeremy smirked and instantly tried throwing the star at the top of the tree.
After a few attempts, Jeremy started making a jump for it, though all that he managed to do was knock a good amount of ornaments off and bend the star. He started looking for something he could shoot the star to the top of the tree when you decided enough was enough.
You grabbed Jeremy and lifted him to the tree, him shouting the entire time. You knew he didn’t like being picked up but for the camera, he could deal.
“Oh, shut up and just put the star on. You’re heavy,” you told him. You were so thankful for Lindsay pushing you to go to the gym because that man was a lot of muscle packed into a small body.
The room busted up laughing as Jeremy grumbled, “There it’s on.”
“Oh thank you,” you sighed and took a step back to let Jeremy down but your foot landed on one of the baubles he had knocked down earlier. You slipped and both of you went tumbling to the ground.
“Oh my god! Are you okay?” Jeremy asked as he tried to scramble off of you but basically ended up straddled over you.
You smiled and laughed a little, “Actually pretty good.”
Jeremy chuckled and got off of you, “Come on. Let’s get you up.” He held out his hand. You sat up and took his hand but he pulled you up a little too hard and the two of you came chest to chest. His hands coming around your waist to steady you. You started to lean in and so did he until a loud whooping caused the two of you to jump apart and remember you weren’t the only ones in the room.
“Oh smooth, Gavin,” Michael tossed a pillow at him, “They were finally going to kiss!”
The two of you looked away from each other, blushing madly.
You stood in the corner, sipping your spike-free punch. You had no idea why your friend had dragged you to this party. You were so much more the stay in kind or if you were going out it was to a quiet movie or coffee shop, not a loud holiday party.
Just as you were wondering how early you could slip away you saw the exact reason you were brought here, spite your protests. A flash a familiar blonde hair and a bubbly laugh that made your heart skip beats.
You looked for your friend who you instantly locked eyes with as you found them. They were clearly waiting for you to notice the whole party. They gave you a sheepish grin. You pointed to the door and they shook their head with a look of panic, quickly pushing through the crowd to get to you.
You thought about making a run to the door but ultimately decided it wasn’t worth it and just tried to make yourself smaller in the corner.
“Look,” Blaine started as he finally broke through to you, “I know parties aren’t your thing but when Barbara said she was coming I figured it’d be a good time to flirt it up.”
Your crush on Blaine’s coworker was no secret but still, you sighed, “Really? Have you met me?”
He shrugged, “Well, I volunteered to drive so you could have a little liquid courage.”
You gave him a look but glanced towards the kitchen, “I guess if I’m staying.”
“Great! What are you having? I’ll get it for you,” Blaine offered, taking your cup.
You laughed and shook your head as you took your cup back, “Oh no. I can get it. Last time you made me a drink it was more vodka than the actual drink.”
You made your way through the living room carefully though you were so focused on the rest of the room you didn’t know what was happening in front of you. Which is exactly why you ran smack dab into someone in the doorway of the kitchen.
“I’m so sorry,” they said, arms going around you to steady you.
“No, it’s all my fault,” you trailed off as you saw who was holding you. You could have sworn you saw her blush before you looked away. You were too afraid to look up to confirm.
You only did look up when you heard a few people hollering and cheering. You looked out into the party and saw the focus was slowly turned towards the two of you, “What are they…”
You stopped as you saw Blaine gesture to look up. You had a feeling you knew what was already there but the both of you still looked upward. Your fears confirmed. Mistletoe.
As the cheering grew louder you finally looked at Barbara and she was blushing but she shrugged, “We can’t disappoint.”
You smiled shyly, “Well, when you put it that way.”
You stood on toes to pull her closer, her lips crashing down onto yours, causing the room to cheer even louder.
79 "You're hot, shame about personality" with Gavin and male!reader please?
“My glass is empty,” Gavin shoved his glass towards you.
You shook your head and called for two more drinks. You turned towards Gavin as you waited. He gave you an innocent look before you spoke, “You know, you’re hot, shame about the personality.”
“Hey!” he made a face, “You’re no boyfriend material yourself.”
“Still coming home with me later?” you questioned.
“What else are we doing here?” Gavin grinned and leaned in for a kiss.
